MLS is off for another 2 months brah and Camp Cupcake has already started.
If he were truly looking for playing time right away, he could have gone to many midtable teams in Europe and play right away.

What about maybe going back to Aston Villa for this half of the season?

The only way this makes sense is if he's getting >$8 million a year and he has a buyout that's $5 million or less
Posted on 1/8/14 at 2:14 pm to hendersonshands
Even then, though, it still wouldn't make much sense.
He's too good of quality to waste his best years away in the MLS.

Even if thats the case.. he doesn't seem like the type to chase the money at all. and like someone stated earlier, in his interviews he seems genuine about his desire to stay living in europe. the dude speaks like 5-6 languages

Jurgen should call Thomas Tuchel and say hey, I got this baller arse center mid for you. Mainz is pretty much solid mid table but that dude is a fantastic coach.

He can't spend more than a year in Toronto if he's serious about getting back to Europe. He's already 26

It would be hard to make that call considering Jurgy's body is hanging lifelessly in the hotel bathroom where the Camp Cupcakers are staying.
He can't be happy with this move.

quote:yeah you're right, I thought he was a tad younger than that. a great showing in the WC for him could land him deals in Europe.

also talk about him going to spurs

I feel like this is actually a pro-WC prep move for Bradley. He is tired of getting jerked around for playing time and wants to play consistently in the build up to Brazil. Now he can come join Camp Cupcake, play 90 every match for Toronto and be in top shape/form for Brazil.
Next winter, he can look to move back to Europe and battle for a spot with a strong club.
And I agree with Hendo. I sure hope his contract is a short one. I just don't see this working out very well. He probably stays a few years in MLS, til he's 28/29 or so, and then moves to the EPL on a free. Just my guess.

Bradley is my favorite US player, and even I hate this. There is no room in our midfield. Paulinho, Dembele, Sandro, and Capoue are all very capable DCMs.

As a spurs fan, I would take MB over Dembele and Capoue in a heartbeat. MB could play great next to Paulinho, covering for him and letting him go forward more.

Dembele is an excellent player. Bradley has struggled in the Premier League before. I love Bradley. But I'm not going to dismiss a Belgian international who had been a great player for Spurs.

I'm not either, but I'm all for giving the best American international out there a shot.
