It's not beating out the NFL my friend.
Who knows, the NFL may not even being around in 20-30 years with all the rule changes to prevent life threatening injuries

KEEPING our players. BRINGING the top players from the world. Players WANTING to be here.
keeping our players will never get them to the levels in europe we are just not techinal enough. Our youth need to be in euro youth set ups
Good players will come to the US in the end of their career for a big pay check. But it works for right now.
Top players in their prime will not want to be in the US, In a country playing 3rd o 4th fiddle to other sports.
Soccer is a way of life and culture in Europe it means so much to the people over here. Tribalism, pride, family etc. Its something Americans don't understand and think just throwing money at it will fix it and make our league awesome.

And the MLS doing better makes the US national team better.
Which Is why I don't understand all the MLS hate (not saying it's coming from you)

Not as much as you might think.
Explain Brazil...

It's not U.S. players' responsibility to drop what their doing in Europe or wherever they play to strengthen the MLS. If Bradley wants to play in the mls, fine that's his decision. But he shouldn't do it cause he think he owes that league anything. It's his responsibility to become a better player and do what makes him happy.
It's the responsibility of league officials and the teams to grow the league in terms of size and talent.

MLS has money. They are growing. They are growing fast. And the young generation is growing up loving soccer, instead of football and baseball solely.
this post alone says you are clueless to the world and its football

Exactly the point. He doesn't have to play in the MLS. But he a chosen too. Which says a lot about the MLS that a lot of people don't want to believe

How recognizable do you think Bradley is to the average American sports fan?
Not sure... But he will surely be more recognizable playing in the United States multiple times per year instead of playing in a league that isn't even on TV here in the states.
Which actually brings up a decent point, Toronto is only supposed to be on national TV 1 time this year I believe, I bet MLS will be kicking themselves if he and Defoe come and they can't put them on TV any more.

I would venture to say that Roma is nearly as accessible in the US as is Toronto FC.

his game wont get better or lets say more evolved b/c his level of competition takes huge drop

So you think he straight up chose MLS over Serie A?

The MLS's way of getting better is to produce young talent and mix them in with established stars, that's right. I just think at this time, we need our best player playing top flight competition rather than being in Toronto playing for a 35 year old Kiwi
