Agreed. Until he becomes more consistent, he isn't untouchable. But if we did it would have to be for stupid money and I would want an established player lined up to step in. None of this buying potential bullshite. A reliable, skilled, experienced substitute for Phil.

Sterling was sold for £35M, Suarez for £65M. I think Coutinho fits somewhere in between. Although Sterling's price tag was driven by his being English.

My personal opinion? In this market, given his age and potential, £50mil. Given the suitor is PSG? Then push that shite up to 55-60. They'll pay it.

I always assumed Luiz was a one off tard out on their part. But if that's business as usual for them then yes, 60m minimum.

Agreed. Would go 55-60 minimum, but hate the idea all together really. The money would be sweet, but he is just too vital IMO.

Is he though? What is his best position? Does he play there? What formations suit him best? He's not really a number 10. He's really more of a false 9. He's fricking brilliant, I'll give you that, but I don't see losing him and what he brings in the same sense that I viewed losing Suarez.

I think he's more of an 8... I'd love to play him in that position in a 3 man mf...
To me, if Klopp sticks with his 4231... He's not a true winger, and limited out on the left... Even though I know he tucks in and doesn't stay wide...

I do wonder if he will be a ruthless klopp cut - by which I mean klopp is ok selling. I do think he fits a 4-3-3 better - he was outstanding against Arsenal in 13-14 and several other times playing the cam, but I don't think klopp wants to play that and I also think Cou has a tendency to get washed out of games by certain tactics at that position.
Personal opinion - wouldn't sell him. But we are all in for klopp and if klopp thinks he doesn't fit what he wants well enough, give us 60m pounds plus.

Yeah it doesn't make much sense, but who knows. I saw a secretly filmed video where Ibra seriously (well it certainly seems like he's serious) asks Klopp to talk to his agent to arrange a move. Pretty awkward/hilarious as Klopp tries to be polite about it because he clearly doesn't want him at BVB. It's possible for players to take the step down for one reason or another, albeit incredibly rare and only in extraordinary circumstances.
That being said I just see no way this is true. It makes zero sense considering our needs and Klopp/Fenway's ethos. But you better believe id take Gonzo in a heartbeat.
