Any word on Allen?

Cause this is actually a tremendously big deal.

I was really hoping we'd see Can or Allen try to take on Gerrard's role for stretches of time given our stretch of games here. We will need to rest Stevie, and not just against Middlesborough.

Our next few weeks -

13th vs. Villa
16th vs. Razgrad
20th vs. Westham
23rd vs. Middleborough
27th vs. Everton
1st vs. Basel
4th vs. West Brom

3 weeks - 7 games.

Thats a long stretch of games, and exactly what we didn't need to have injuries entering into.

Our midfield depth has taken a tremendous hit, and thats not counting on Hendo dealing with a little knock.

Gerrard should not see the pitch vs. Middlesborough, and should likely not be playing 90 against Villa, West Ham, and west Brom if we hope for him to play in the CL for 90.

So does this mean Lucas will have to actually play good minutes vs. some teams? And what tactical limitations will that cause? Or will a midfield of Lucas, Hendo and Cou/Lallan function well - its only Gerrard and Lucas that can't be together? Of course, Hendo can't (and may not be able to) run himself into the ground 7 times in 21 days either. Thats insane.

Rodgers will earn his money (assuming we take care of business) with this.

Honest answers: Have you liked your kits since Warrior/New Balance took over? I ask because it looks like they're going to be doing Celtic's kits for a while.

I'd say the bad outweighs the good.

Our training kits look fresh, our home is good, away is decent, and our third is growing on me. The 3rd seen anywhere but the pitch looks poor. When it's in action I actually like it.

eta: Rogers said that Joe Allen is out vs Villa and didn't say much otherwise. Hopefully is just a knock on the knee and not anything more than that

Lallana and Coutinho will probably see minutes playing deeper in midfield. Wouldn't be surprised to possibly even see Rossiter or Suso play some minutes in midfield either, although that might be a stretch depending on how everyone's feeling, but that's a lot of games coming up.

Same!

Hoping to see a 4-3-3 with Lallana as a CM with Hendo and Gerrard. Lazza Balotelli and Sterling as a front 3. Same back 4 as against spurs.

Have no idea what channel its on live (not FS1 or FS2), but it looks like FS1 is showing a replay of our CL opener at 2am that night. Set your DVRs!

Was planning on taking off to watch it live at Finns (assuming they were showing it on a TV or six) but some things have come up at work that are unavoidable. Will have to take off for the next one.

Interesting lineup and I'm on with Sterling on the bench. Did he play 90 in both of England's games? Either way, I'm sure he could use a break. I wish Allen would be healthy to give Hendo a breather

Just realized I never updated OP with the addition of Mario. And I just got my third kit with him on it. Here's to a goal or 5 today
