The difference from a Martinez pre and post game talks to Koeman is night and day.

It's jarring at times to hear such honesty. I think its good to hear but not sure how easy that is as a player to adjust to. However, with last years performance this is likely what they all needed to hear and those that can't take it shouldn't be playing anyway.

Agree fully. When you look at the space taken up by relatively unproductive and unreliable players, it's such an indictment on Martinez. Especially considering how quickly Koeman came in and immediately found they were of little use.

Speaking of unproductive and unreliable players, what are we doing with McGeady?

ETA: Koeman cleaning house was nice, but it was pretty heartbreaking reading what Tony Hibbert had to say about how it all went down.

IIRC, basically he wasn't told before it was public that he was being released. He heard about it second hand. He then called someone up at Everton who apologized and confirmed it.

He said Everton is no longer the people's club

Makes me wonder if the same went down for Osman and Pienar

Lot of positive to take from that match. We've gotta quit shooting straight at the keeper when we create these great chances though

Lots to like today

On side note, got my ticket confirmation for Everton-Southampton in January. Pumped.
