We're told a fee of £18m+ has been agreed in principle with Everton for Lamine Kone, but Sunderland won't sanction until they replace..(1/2)

If true.

1)Blues getting an amazing player who is better than stones or Williams.

2) I'm fricking done with Sunderland as owner clearly don't give a shite.

SUPER PUMPED about Bolasie. He's fun.

CB signings are looking nice.

Just throwing this out there, but we should sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, he's a poor man's Pogba

Why is his price so high?

He's a pacy winger who creates a lot of chances, Palace probably "need" him, and transfer fees are silly high in general.

Meh, I rate him pretty highly. The 30m figure is with add ons I'm pretty sure, will be more 25.

The reality is none of these guys are worth what English teams pay for them so I'm not going to get too crazy about overpaying when Everton are trying to establish themselves again financially. You don't want to become a club that is stupid with their money like City has often been, but you can't nickel and dime every deal and put together a top 4 squad.

S, between Leeds and Everton you just need to become a Swansea fan now

Matchday 1 reactions?

-Love Deulofeu up top, can't wait till he has a finisher in Lukaku up there with him.
-Loved the 3-5-2 formation, it'll only get better when Lukaku, Coleman, and Williams can play.
-Nice to finally see some organization and confidence on defense
-I may have been underrating Stek. He made some great saves today and maybe he can be a PL #1 PK after all.
-Hard to be disappointed at taking a point against a top 4 team to start the season.

I watched the second half only, and thought they played ok, we struggled in the final 3rd especially once Kone came in.

Well you missed all the good stuff. We were extremely dangerous in the 1st. And yeah, it should go without saying that I'd be happy if I never saw Kone on the field for Everton again

I totally get that, I saw the first half highlights. Need to finish at a higher rate, but we will be fine.

When's Rom come back?

Hopefully next week, it doesn't sound too serious. Coleman on the other hand will be out for a while

I assume Ash will play next week. And FFS how long is Coleman out?

Yeah, taking the role of Holgate, who did pretty well today despite giving up that goal.

"several weeks", whatever that means

I kinda want to see Davies sub in for McCarthy at some point next week. McCarthy didn't particularly do anything wrong today but Davies has a higher ceiling.
