SCH's strongly worded letter to FIFA about how bad Jerry World is seemed to work!

Also of note:

- Opener of the tournament will be played in Azteca (lame), so Mexico will be the group A team.

- USMNT will play 2 group stage matches in LA, so apparently SoFI Stadium will have a big enough pitch to host. The other USMNT group stage match will be played in Seattle. Incredibly lame to have them exclusively on the west coast. Our home field advantage is gone if we get any CONMEBOL team in our group.

- 3rd place match will be played in Miami

- Dallas will host 9 matches throughout the tournament, the most of any venue.

Dallas and Atlanta to host the semifinals.

Canada and Mexico will each host 13 matches, while USA will host 78 matches and every match from the quarterfinals onward.

Canada and Mexico each only get two of the sixteen Round of 32 matches and one of the eight Round of 16 match.

Atlanta getting 8 games is nice including one of the semifinal games but an absolute joke that LA gets two US group stage games and not a single on on the east coast

Welp at least makes it an easy decision for me to not even attempt to attend any US group stage games

Good news is Atlanta is hosting the final send off game for the US team so if any of y’all are close to Atlanta you could always do that I know I will

I don't like Jerrah but how does FIFA pass on a much larger venue?

The 100,000+ capacity for Jerry World includes a ton of temp seating, realistically it’s about 80,000

It’s not even temp seating, it is six standing room only areas where you get in to the stadium but have no seat

I have no problem with MetLife getting it. I think it's probably one of the better stadiums for a match with it's setup.

Wouldn't have had a problem with Jerry World either though.

I am very curious to see how they retrofit SoFi.

When it hosted the Super Bowl they built temp seats in those areas.

Start times will assuredly keep the East coast from taking an interest.

It’s the World Cup, not Copa or the Gold Cup. They are going to be start times that Europeans can watch.
