Is it possible for a team's performance to mirror it's countries performance more than England.

In that sense, it probably is. But I just expected Iceland to win this game. What if I told y'all England just isn't very good?

hodgson is such an idiot. rashford and/or vardy should have been starting this entire tournament. kane was garbage across the board.

England have produced maybe 3 players with McManaman's raw talent since he last played for England. Worst part is Hoddle left him on the bench, Keegan played him on the left, and Sven forget he existed when he was one of the best wingers in Europe.

Iceland has a bunch of players who have actual jobs and don't play soccer professionally.

Most of them play professionally. They have maybe the highest per capita ratio of professional players to population.

How many times did Kane come collect the ball at midfield? No service. Starting Sterling was a mistake. And starting Rooney as a deep central midfielder was a mistake.

Needed a Henderson or a Barkley in middle of field.

wouldn't just several of them not having full time soccer careers be more than any other country at the Euro championships though?

Macca was also an excellent central player when deployed there. He played central midfield for Madrid against Juventus in the 2002 CL final.

I feel like Macca is underrated even in PL history.

How long have you been living in England? The 2010 post mortem was rough, England were beaten by a decent German team. This is going to be something else.
