How much more liberal are international soccer fans than rest of population?

I am relatively new to soccer as far as attending USMNT games, but I get the sense that the political leanings of international football fans are far to the left of the non-football watching populations (perhaps with exceptions being granted for some Eastern European fans and Russian fans)?
Is this largely correct in America, Western Europe and even Africa? I suppose it makes sense in some respects.
I secretly did a little Donald Trump experiment while walking back towards downtown Chicago after the USA / Costa Rica game. As we were all trudging back, Trump Tower was on the horizon and I'd strategically ask some fellow US fans "hey are you headed to Trump Tower for the rally as well?" Literally everybody's reaction was "frick Trump" and "surely you're kidding". I feel like if I did this after a Bears game I'd get a more 50/50 reaction instead of 8 out of 8 people telling me to frick off.
TL;DR: Are soccer fans in America more liberal than NFL fans or the general population as a whole? Are football fans in Western European countries more liberal than their countries' populations as a whole?

It's genesis in America was that it was a counter-culture sport, so yeah, there are a good number of hipster fans...

I would say they are more liberal in the US.
In other countries I don't think that's the case.

You must have seen all that gay pride at yesterday's Timbers game.

Too be fair, its not just liberals who think trump is an a-hole.

Yeah a lot of people wouldn't admit to going to a Trump event in public
But I do think soccer fans are more liberal than the average American sports fan. Should move more toward the center as soccer's growth continues.

Not really. You couldn't say they lean one way or another. With regards to clubs, it is club specific. Some clubs have right wing supports and other clubs have left wing supporters and some clubs have both. Lazio, a club in Italy, has right wing supporters, while Livorno, another club in Italy, is basically run by communists.

This anecdotal example is meaningless.

No

No, though Western European populations will generally be more liberal than most Americans.

From what I gather, to you "far left" is just to the left of Attila the Hun

Meh most new US Soccer fans are hipster types.
In other parts of the world is mostly blue collar rough types. So you get you get the whole spectrum of people.

You're probably correct.
Plus most of the millennial hipster fans are too young and dumb to know anything about politics. It's easier to be a sheep.

Chicago is very liberal. You'd get different reactions doing that in Houston or something.
Sorry didn't realize it's a troll. Isn't this a goldennugget alter?

To really assess we'd need to define what it means to be a soccer fan I guess.
I have a hard time believing the folks I see at Atlanta United events or at soccer-centric bars around here are anything other than liberal-leaning. Of course, there could be an equal or greater number of suburban dad types watching EPL at home that we never really hear from. I don't think that's representative of how "soccer fans" in this country breakdown, but I guess there could be an appearance of a certain type of fan that doesn't necessarily match up with a large swatch of "silent" fans.

No I would say the US Hipster fans are more liberal. Why? Because majority of international fans have a closer real life experience with liberal policies, and have seen their harm. Except the French, but frick those pretentious counts.
But why ruin sports with politics? I mean, Ive seen your postings enough to know you enjoy a good agenda, but why ruin the beauty and bliss of sport by purposely interjecting crappy political stances into it. Enjoy the game, atmosphere, and energy. Leave the politics at home.
