Based on reports from different media outlets (Bild, DPA, Spiegel, a couple of English guys over there) I've been looking at, they don't think it was terrorism or Monaco fans. If that's the case, who was it (there were recently some bannings of German fans by the FA for violence...)?

That's what I was thinking at first but what I read made it seem a like a more legit explosive than a firework

Any updates?

I just assume it's muslims in situations like this until it's proven otherwise.

I'm just following the top post in the reddit thread. Apparently Bartra had surgery on his wrist and other than that there hasn't been much. Supposedly no evidence or leads right now to suggest terrorism or Monaco fans

Press conference is so far offering nothing. They have no answers.

ETA:

They apparently found a letter near the hedge where the explosives were. No word on the contents.

Now that it seems as though no serious harm was done, how American Soccer would it have been if Pulisic got a career-threatening injury from this?

Think it's time that Pulisic gets secret service protection. It's a national security interest.

Let me call Trump and have him take care of that.

German police are saying it was a serious explosion, not pyrotechnics. Apparently the bus has bulletproof windows so I would think it'd have to be a pretty big blast to break even some of it.

yeah, when i looked at that picture, you could tell they have double windows, and the first one is probably bullet proof.

The greatest American footballer to roam the Earth is about to lay down the swift hand of justice.

AKA two goals and one assist over the tie. Dortmund through to the semis.

There are some interesting rumors that someone is trying to blackmail Dortmund.

Overall this situation is crazy as all hell.

Spanish press has an interview with Borussia´s keeper, and he says Bartra was struck by shrapnel. Obviously not fireworks.

On another note, Leicester keeping up England´s good name on the Continent. They were destroying things in Madrid´s Plaza Mayor and police had to round them up and arrest eight. Sounds like five have minor injuries.

Two bars suffered damage.

fricking limeys.

I mean, regardless of who did it, I think road side bombs qualifies as terrorism across the board, so I guess that quote was kind of weird, but I guess that was to imply that there was no leads to any specific terrorist group.

Supposedly the blackmail rumors are connected to some guy who put in a bomb threat on BVB last year. No idea if that has any connection to this or not.

Hopefully we'll learn more about the note that was left behind soon.

German police are now saying that the letter referenced Allah and the Berlin incident. But they also said they are being skeptical -- they are considering the possibility that the letter may be an attempt to throw them off.
