I just told my friend this, but I'll copy it here:
It was a mixed bag, IMO. Kante was superb. Hazard looked threatening again. Diego was a nuisance, and he managed to keep his temper under control. Conte gives his players confidence, and he seems to encourage people to take on their man. That really suits Hazard/Moses/Costa/Willian/etc.
Conte's tactics were pretty spot on. There are significant issues at the back, but he managed to paint over them. Having Ivanovic and Azpilicueta push high up the pitch pinned their wingers/full backs deep. Ivanovic is really susceptible at RB so that helped him out a ton. Cahill and Terry got off easy because of it. No threat/service from the wide areas meant Carroll was feeding off scraps. Ayew going off also meant we didn't have to worry as much about him flicking it on to somebody. It's nice to know our manager clearly knows what he's doing, but you have to believe a better team will figure out how to to expose you. Ivanovic is going to have to be replaced at RB, and Zouma needs to get fit very quickly. Otherwise, I fear we'll be shipping goals again. I'll be really disappointed if we don't sign another defender.

Yea obviously all the points are great but I'm afraid it will make Roman feel like everything is OK, especially with Zouma looming.
I just can't understand why we insist on being so thin at fullback for what seems like years now.

Is Koulibaly transfer officially dead or is there still hope?

bought baba rahman for around half luke shaw's transfer. which would be a bargain in the current market. and of course, after all the shite jose said justifying it, now ends up his coach after all.

almost identical to Stones farce from last year. feels like its up to Koulibaly to force napoli to move him. will prob get a raise and stay leading to another papy-esque panic buy.

When did he tear his ACL? It takes about a year to get match fit from that kind of injury, it seems.

Yea I kinda forgot we tried that, but still how does a club like Chelsea have a LB playing RB and CB playing RB with virtually no other options and it's not due to injuries?

Zouma tore his ACL in February. They originally said a 6 month recovery (which seemed short at the time) but now hoping for around the end of the calendar year. Either way, it will not be soon enough with our current defensive situation.

Thats what im saying. Recent history goes back to them not wanting to pay up for Shaw, and instead bungled felipe luis and eventually rolled the dice on baba and are now in the same position as three years ago.
Why roman is so quick to sack managers but not those higher up is frustrating.

There were PLENTY of other options. We had the best LB in the world for a season and didn't play him. We also have this Nathan Ake guy who is superb. He plays LB, midfield and could play CB in a pinch. He's left-footed and plays on the left side. Imagine that. Oh wait, Ake is out on loan because reasons.

Great, now Ivanovic can't even pass.

I love the offensive position we used to score against Watford.
Moses, Hazard, Cesc, Bats, Costa with Kante.
The movement has been really strong. I love having Bats and Costa on at the same time.

Cesc is such a difference maker

I don't know how you get Cesc and Michy on the field, but I feel like you have to.

By the way, Kante is amazing. He is all over the place and does a terrific job connecting defense with offense. He is the linchpin for our midfield. Wow, he's better than I realized. Makes me recognize how big of a gap we had before him.

I didn't realize he was this decent on the ball. He can actually pass.
ETA: He's not Cesc, but he also isn't Ramires
