Explain the difference then? You move to a better place and are given the opportunity to live a better life yet you shite on the place that granted you the better life and long for the shithole you came from?

Makes sense.

If I'm a lifelong San Jose fan and move to ATL, I'm not going to quit supporting San Jose. I'll hope ATL does well and will probably go to a few games a year, but San Jose will still be my #1 team.

That would set you apart from the type of people I'm talking about.

I thought we were past having to use Euro gimmicks to make the MLS work. This is so amateurish. DC United, Real Salt Lake, Sporting KC, hell even the Dynamo; all of these are bad names because they took them from somewhere else.

Seriously, they should change this kind crap..not expand it

Yet southern's move up north to places like DC, NYC, Chicago or out to LA or Dallas. To make more money as have a good quality of life. They don't ditch their sports teams.

I actually think I would start following the NFL or MLS team of the city I move to (I'm thinking of moving to San Diego, Seattle, or Denver in the next 2-3 years). I'll still be a Red Wings fan, though.

I'm going to the launch party on July 7. Maybe they'll yank the United part by then. Mother Delta won't pay up

Who the hell moves from a place like Atlanta, Houston or Dallas to a place like DC, NYC, Chicago or LA for money or improved quality of life? More prestige, maybe.

So yeah, this name choice sucks. That's what everyone's talking about, right?

You might want to google richest counties in America and see how many are in the DC area.

I really applauded the fact that Orlando went with SC instead of FC (ignoring the City part), although, I don't mind the FC thing.

The most egregious is Real Salt Lake. We haven't had a monarch since 1776.

Well sure, but cost of living minimizes a lot of that plus you have to live in D.C. with all that slime.

The DC suburbs are great place to live hence why so many people flock there

It's ironic you call DC slim while defending Atlanta

This will be the closest MLS team to where I live, but I just can't be a fan of "Atlanta United FC". I just can't.

The type of people that are attracted to DC are generally slimy. The area itself though is very nice I agree.
