re: Do you follow an obscure club? - Mr. Shake
River Plate. However, I don't get to keep up with them as much like in the old FoxSportsWorld days. ...

re: Arsenal 2014/15 Season Long Thread - Mr. Shake
Hope all goes well at the doctor's appointment. I don't have Fox Sports 2, but I'm considering finding a restaurant/pub today to watch the match. I know it's a tall order, but they've been playing so well lately. You gotta have faith, right?...

re: Paris just wanted it more than the London Russians - Mr. Shake
He said he wasn't English, but he didn't say he wasn't British. Oh and he said that the SPL was better now without Rangers. But he said it was because Celtic were "more rubbish" and the other teams can compete with them now....
Luckily I talked to this guy from Madrid the other day for a really long time. He was pretty cool, a big Sergio Ramos fan. I'm so glad we snuck by Schalke yesterday and really think it will be a wake up call. We are def gonna go back to back and win #11 this year! Hala Madrid!
...

re: I think I'm about to start drinking Coffee - Mr. Shake
I started about 2 months ago when we got a Keurig at work. I've never liked the taste, so here's how I did it. Drink a cup of extra bold flavored coffee like this, straight black, and everything else will taste good afterwards. Now, I just add a pinch of french vanilla or other creamer, and it ta...

re: Could you beat Ronda Rousey in a fight (ufc rules)? - Mr. Shake
Sure in a boxing match he would crush her but if she got her hands on him or got him in a clinch it would be over in less than 30 seconds and that is being generous.
I've heard it all now. He would make her look foolish. He would hit her when and how he wanted to. Waaay too qui...

I'm not saying I could take her myself, but I think most people aren't considering what an advantage testosterone can be. Especially when the adrenalin kicks in. ...

re: FIFA Thread. The 23rd is our day - Mr. Shake
The main thing that has always bugged me about Fifa, is that in career mode, your pro is never brought on as a substitute. You either start the match or you're left out. I was hoping at some point they would address this, but I've never heard them mention any plans to. It's just not realistic whe...

re: What happened to Portsmouth - Mr. Shake
Damn, 13th in League 2. One of the teams I enjoyed watching in the early 2000s. I'd love to see Pompey rise again. ETA I always dug the red socks. ...

re: Newbie soccer queston - Mr. Shake
Started watching with the 2002 World Cup. Was around 2010-11 before I realized that I cared more about Arsenal than the others. I remember rooting for ManU when they broke Arsenal's unbeaten streak in 2004. Makes me sick to even think about it now. Rooney clearly took a dive. ...

re: FIFA Thread. The 23rd is our day - Mr. Shake
So last week I'm playing with the Daggers (Dagenham and Redbridge) and come up against City in the FA Cup. Joe Hart takes out my striker in the 1st minute and City have to finish with 10 men. 3-1 victory for the Daggers. I felt a little bad because it's unrealistic for City to lose to such an ...

re: FIFA Thread. The 23rd is our day - Mr. Shake
I've found professional too easy, and world class too frustrating. The AI would keep possession too much. I upped the AI pass error to 65 and it's made a big difference. It's still a struggle to tie or win every match, but the AI doesn't keep the ball the whole game at least. ...

re: Atheists die sooner, are ill longer, and lead less happy lives than non-atheists - Mr. Shake
What if afterlife is real but it's one with a different God and you don't get to go?
I was just trying to be clever. I believe the time after death will be like the time before birth. I wasn't aware of anything and it didn't bother me in the least....
