Is it a forgone conclusion that Scz would automatically unseat De Sanctis at Roma?

Question: what happened to AC Milan last season? How did they fall all the way down to mid-table?

before their owner stopped funding them at a high level they had invested in a bunch of older guys and the bottom fell out. no ability to sign guys + aging expensive old players who are mediocre = shite. then they began the theme when sliding of having a carousel of managers

they were resigned to waiting until they could dump their old guys or have their contracts run out to start anew, but i think they have a new sugar daddy who has let them buy some guys this window.

Really hope we get a good League Cup run this year so we can see guys like Akpom. Adelaide, Hayden, Iwobi, Crowley, Martinez, Zelalem, get meaningful first team action. They've all looked very impressive in pre-season and at other youth levels

The jerseys are hideous, other than that this team looked sexy as hell today. Very impressive. I say this every year, but if we can stay healthy we may win this thing.

And I scored tickets to the west ham game. So I'll be there on the 9th to witness the Arsenal juggernaut.

Reine-Adelaide is in the starting lineup. Wenger has been gushing about this kid. Really excited to see him.

Very good showing by Reine-Adelaide. What a ball he played to get Theo through to score. Definitely one for the future.

Just 17. Holy shite. Kid was amazing today. Against the defending German Cup champs.

I mean, he could start for us. Now. In a big game. And I'd feel fine about it. He's special. Imagine in a few years.

Where does Wenger envision him? I see Pogba 2.0.

The home kits look awesome. The Adelaide kid looks good also. Again if we can stay healthy we have some diff line ups we can throw at teams this year and still be dangerous.

At first he tried to do too much on his own. A couple of good runs and passages. He settled in and looked great. Young, French and cheap. Just like Arsene likes them.

Are we talking about soccer players or courtesans?

We really need to buy Cameron Carter Vickers from Sp*rs. He'd be great alongside Ainsley Maitland Niles, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, and Jeff Reine Adelaide.

It's Community Shield week boys. I know it's a preseason match but I'm am really excited and it doesn't hurt that I despise Chelsea. This will be a good measuring stick for us and with a win like last year it could only breath more confidence into the squad. It could be just what we need going into the season.

PS: I used to post regularly a few years back and I'm happy to get back to posting with my fellow Gooners.

Good to see Ozil in really good form entering the season. I think he's primed for a huge year, especially now that he's going to stay central. Coquelin's development as a true destroyer I think has really freed Arsene to let Ozil play in the hole, as has Santi's willingness to defend positionally and Ramsey's willingness to play wide.

Will be interesting to see who the first choice 11 ends up being. Will Bellerin or Debuchy play RB? Will Theo or Giroud start centrally? Will Ramsey stay wide or rotate in the center with Santi/Coq? Will Arsene try some Santi-Ramsey or Santi-Jack partnerships and rest Coq?

Lots of competition and depth. If Arsene can manage it well, we have a great chance to win the league this year and make a deep CL run.

Then there's the chance we add to the squad before the transfer window closes. It looks like we are trying to upgrade the striker position. Hopefully Benzema becomes unsettled with Benitez and we go after him hard.

With this type of squad, I hope AW can successfully play mad scientist, with the timely starts, timely substitutions, knowing when to rest someone and when to play the hot hand or the best matchup.
