That loss was SOOOOO Arsenal that it hurts.

Our depth is pitiful. We knew if we lost Coq that we would have a rough go of things. Sadly it's on Arsene, as any fan with half a brain identified these issues and now they are really coming back to bite us in the arse.

Welp. That sucked. That match never had a good feeling to me. Bellerin was a step slow, Ozil gave possession away a ton, and just sloppy at the back.

Coq going down and then Arteta doing the same just made it clear we had enough bad luck that Santi would derp that PK like he did.

Any word yet on Coq's injury?

This lack of depth is on Arsene. But then again, it always has been. I hope we make some moves in the January window. Hopefully he doesn't pull an Arsene (or is it a Mourinho now?) and say he's confident in the squad and doesn't need to purchase players.

Is it really a lack of depth at this point? I get that when talking about backup for Coquelin, but no team really has the quality depth to deal with all the people we have out elsewhere.

@Orbinho
Arsenal's win percentage this season with Theo Walcott starting (all comps) is 78%. With Olivier Giroud starting, the win % is 36%.

Giroud isn't having a bad season, but our attack just doesn't click as well with him up top.

Alexis seems most effected by it.

Arsene likes to find bargain bin players. There is a reason players with a long injury history are to be found in the bargain bin. So maybe this is partly on Arsene and partly on our physios who can't seem to keep them healthy.

But we haven't really done that in a while though. The only real bargain bin buy the last few seasons I can think of was Welbeck, who had no real injury history (but who has of course been hurt for almost a year after becoming an Arsenal player).

I've gone full tin foil hat on this and I am just going to say every team out there is blood doping and taking steroids except us. Why Arsene is trying to hard to get more testing in the game.

idk what it is. It's frustrating as hell, that's for sure. Our injury record compared to other teams is just absurd.

Exactly the result we needed today. Ozil and Sanchez were stunningly great today. Glad we have Norwich on Sunday because the Canaries like to play. Bellerin looked really good considering how poor he was on Saturday.

Off to Athens in two weeks to face 11 behind the ball.

Alexis neck control... What?

And my boy Aaron is back. Amazing what a result can do!! Enjoy it lads!!!

Yep, key is to grab a quick goal when Arsenal inevitably probe the first 15 minutes or so.

Today was a lot of fun to watch. Ozil is again playing like the best 10 in the world that Arsenal signed. He's the type of player that makes watching this sport so much fun.

He has been the best player in the EPL since he came back from the injury against Chelsea last year.

Coq out three months.

WHY do we go through this shite every year with a ton of long-term injuries to key players?
