love it.

also, glad we have ospina. he could use more of a runout. wonder if szcz gets dinged for that and the overall so-so start to the season for him.

i think we need to start jack for santi, but i'd go with the same XI. which is really harsh because santi might've been the best player on the pitch, but we need the speed for counter attacks.

far from a settled question, but i remember being mocked for saying i'd rather have welbz over balo...

You had a much keener assessment on the two than I had. I was furious with missing out on balo at that price, and I was quite upset when Welbeck was purchased. I didn't think he was up for it. This crow is absolutely delicious at the moment.

Not only balo, I think welbeck has a good chance of outperforming Falcao this year.

Anyway, I know Wenger has forgotten more about soccer than most of us fans will ever know but damn, how long have fans been calling for ozil in the middle with welbeck in front and sanchez and Walcott/chamberlain on the wings? I don't think it's a coincidence our two best performances have come with ozil the middle

Souness just said you take welbeck over balo 7 days a week.

This would rustle jimmies in the Liverpool thread.

Thought Ozil, Cazorla, Alexis, Welbz, Chambers were brilliant. Everyone played well minus Szczeny's gaffe.

Long live the 4-2-3-1

Our pace is going to be electric when Theo gets back. Ozil HAS to be the pulling the strings. Welbeck's movement, work rate and passing have been great. Tonight his finishing was great.

Take a guy with pace and strength and play him as a striker instead of on the wing. Sound familiar anyone?

We looked good, im going to temper my emotions though because gal looked like shite in the first half. Wellbeck really is what weve been missing and is perfect to lead the line, once we get theo back i can see us have a serious attacking threat like pool last season.

Now Melo should have been sent off, but scez really fricked up. Up 4-0, we were bout to make subs and really was no need. Glad we have ospina and i have no problem with wenger going with him if scez starts to lose his head.

Really need that back four to stay healthy, it is good enough. Gibbs was excellent i thought, If he can just start stringing some injury free seasons together, i dont see why he cant be the best lb in the premier league.

we need to stick to the 4-2-3-1. Santi played well and was a good outlet for flamini. He also seems to know when to press and when to hang back. Hes not going to out physical someone, but damn he is an annoyance on d, buzzing around, sneakily poking balls away. Just thought it was a good game and it is putting players in better positions. santi and ozil really are better playing centrally and alexis out wide. This allows for that.

I've been very happy with the back 4 the past couple of games.

Flamini played pretty well today too.

It seemed like the big thing with Santi was that he didn't give the ball away in the midfield, which has been a bit of an issues sometimes this year with Ramsey and Wilshere. I still would like to see Ox maybe get some games in that spot while Ramsey is out.
