Yeah, I wasn't knocking Arteta, just pointing out the joke.

Arteta, like Ozil, is being asked to play a position his talents aren't suited for.

I'm less sympathetic to Per. He is almost useless when we play front lines with pace, and handy when we play big, physical strikers. He has learned how to play despite his limitations, so he has certain strengths, like being in good positions and making good decisions on the ball, but he holds us back lately as much as he helps.

Wenger on Ozil: "Why should he be a scapegoat? For what? We lost one game since the beginning of April."

Cause we look like shite, Arsene. Hopefully we start the turn around this weekend

Arsenal financials:

I never thought I'd be feeling so frustrated this early in a season that seemed to hold so much promise.

Today is the day we put it somewhat together.

Villa is playing well and a win at Villa Park would be a great result.

Very nice blitzkrieg.

Mesut is world-class and rather than this being redemption for Arsene trying to show how much of a managerial genius he is, this just proves how much more effective Ozil would be playing his natural 10 position.

Oh well, let me put my complaining aside. It should be an enjoyable second half, and this is a good rest for Alexis.

Hopefully they can maintain this cleansheet. Done a good job keeping Villa from threatening much today it seems.

I was surprised at Villa's total lack of pressure in the second half. You have to take risks of being burned on a counter when you're down 3-nil. I dunno ... I guess they're thinking long term goal differential tiebreaks and Paul Lambert figured it could get much worse if he went all-out attacking, given Villa's sloppy defending. Still ... seems like you'd try to get that first goal on the sheet.

I'm not complaining at the yawner of the second half. Given our injury history, it was nice to be able to coast and take what they gave us.

Oh, I was right...

First clean sheet and a great showing. Needed a good performance for some confidence.

I love how the two people that needed to score the most did so. Or at least in Ozil's case just create something, which he did with a goal and an assist.

Ramsey had another lackluster performance (borderline bad?) minus a shot just wide in the first half. Sorta worrying to see this dip in form.

Much better today. Its Arsenes job to find balance in the squad and I think he did that today. But Villa really didn't want this match didn't go for it.

Ramsey had the hockey assist for the second goal, and made a good play on what could've been ozil's second. That being said, he has been struggling lately. But as bad as they may play individually, the team seems to perform best when the midfield three is Arteta, Ramsey, and ozil
