We looked really good. Finally depth at every position. Chambers is the real deal.

Like what I saw from Debuchy. Sanchez hopefully can develop some chemistry with the rest of the squad soon. We did seem fairly open on the counter. Good that Cazorla scored since he was having a poor preseason. Wilshere for me has been hot and cold this preseason, hopefully he can find a way to play alongside Ramsey if that is Wenger's plan.

I would really like for us to add a defensive mid, another center back, and if possible a true goal scoring center forward.

Teams that win trophies and go deep in CL have depth. While I think the Chambers lad will prove to be a worthy backup, I'm concerned about our depth in the back center with TV gone to Barca.

We will assuredly buy a CB, I have no doubt.

We are def going to buy a cb now, but chambers is awesome. Dude really reads the game well and showed good speed to track back the bad pass from debuchy.

Just thrilled. 2 trophies in 2014.

sanchez is going to be so fricking good for us. i can't even imagine how well we'll counter when he and özil and theo get on the same page.

chambers had a couple of shaky moments, but overall was really good. especially for someone who has hardly played CB. was weird to see him get burned by dzeko and then run step for step with nasri, jovetic and silva on later occasions.

i know everyone is hating on santi lately, but i think he will have a big year for us.

get a CB at least and a DM plz and i'll be beyond thrilled with this team. we'll have a real chance in every domestic competition and no top European squad will want to play us in the CL. it depends on who we/they land, but i think we're even with chelsea and city as far as EPL favorites go.

It's surprising we looked so good with all three signings with all about ten days or so of training. City were really slow at times, but if Nasri scores that shot in the 13th minute that went off Debuchy, it might have brought them to life. It was amazing to me how many times we played around City's midfield 2, and how ineffective Jovetic and Dzeko were in linking with one another. The fact that City had both of those things happen in one game is a surprise.

Jack had a good game, especially linking with Ramsey. They seemed to have a much better understanding of where the other were, and maybe they can play together in a double pivot more often. Arteta also played extremely deep, and his value is his ability to restart the attack. We might find a midfielder who can prevent us from being destroyed away from home, but I'd be surprised if we could find a midfielder who can retrieve the ball and restart the attack as well as Arteta. If we had the 2011 version of Mikel this season, we would be very good.

I think buying a CB is more important than buying a DM, though I think we will try to get both. Already Kos has a Achilles problem, so buying CB depth is of paramount importance. I think Wenger might try to rely on the midfield depth that we already have if he can't find the right player. I'm not sure Khedira is, and I don't know if Carvalho is.

I'm going to try and slip into a controlled coma till next Saturday just before the Crystal Palace match because I don't want to endure the long stretch of time separating then and now.

Also do we know when our Germans are coming back and any guesses on a scale from 1-10 on how ugly Ozil's haircut will be.

I think they are back for training tomorrow. I bet Mert is ready to play if we need him against Crystal Palace.

Not a chance. Baccy left with class and always speaks highly of Arsenal. Nasri is a shite stain.
