Nah, we are going to finish top 4, perhaps top 3 in the BPL. Who knows, draw Leverkusen or Porto and go to the final 8. We have a lot of quality coming back from injuries.
You have to play the games.

Damn it, get yálls shite together. Your mental weakness is contagious. Santi´s in a Deep funk.

I didnt get to watch the game so my question is was this a tactical breakdown? Or did we just lose focus after the offside goal?

We blew a three goal lead? Wtf. Forgot to record the game, but it seems like this is one I wouldn't want to see

Anderlecht at home, no less.

That ref was awful. For both teams. Their offsides goal shouldn't have counted but I'm not sure that our third didn't start with a foul on Kljestan. I also think that penalty was weak and that their right back got away with a lot of blatant shite.
Arsene's tactics kill me. Why aren't we a more mentally tough squad? Why do we wait til the 80th minute to use subs? How can you even make an impact at that point or get a feel for the game before it's over? How bad was our transfer window that we were left with no defensive depth what so ever? Monreal is not a center back and Flamini himself is going to cost us a game or two singlehandedly. If it weren't for Sanchez we would basically be toast.

Also why sub podolski on when I think it was 3-2 at that point

dropping in to say alexis sanchez is a beast. i did not expect his game to translate this quickly to the EPL.
piers morgan is in god damned love with him and i hate piers, so that makes this slightly difficult.

Just watched the match. I'm not too bothered by the result. We knew we were shite at the back. It was going to catch up with us. When you have 5'9 150 Monreal in physical battles with 6-3 200 pound strikers, you're in trouble. And Per continues to be a liability. He has lost out on several critical aerial challenges this season he has no business losing. And after the match he blamed the defensive woes on our defending from the front, despite the fact we have Welbeck and Alexis, two of the hardest working attackers there are.
I'm more pleased with the positives than I am upset with the negatives: our attack is beginning to gel. For some reason, the Internet is scapegoating Ramsey, and while he looked a little heavy legged late, his runs and movement makes our attack so much more dynamic. Anderlecht had several exceptional blocks that could have been goals 4 and 5, which Ramsey was involved with by being in spots none of our other midfielders would be in.
Ox was great, which is a relief, because he'd hit a poor run of form. Gibbs and Chambers were very good. Sanchez is God. Santi looked sharper. Arteta was quite good before he got hurt.
The issues that led to the comeback are the same issues we'll battle all year and we'll just have to overcome...lack of a DM (Arteta was playing well, but he should be our backup there to a better player, and Flamini should never play) and defensive quality. Per should also be a backup to Kosc and a better CB.
Interested to see how Ozil slots in when he returns. We've found some potency with this 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 giving Alexis plenty of room to roam. We could finally 4-2-3-1, but that takes Alexis away from an area he's been phenomenal in of late.

Damn. Ramsey is r/gunners scapegoat right now. I need to stay away, i thought he was pretty good yesterday. Created a lot for us in the attack.
Yeah, some of his flicks didn't come off. Some of them did, like the one he did before sliding it through to Ox, who found Welbeck's head. His pass to Gibbs to set up Ox (which got blocked) was typical Ramsey. He had a good chance blocked early because he was in a great spot.
He's not covering as much ground as he does at his best, still getting fit...not sure why they're bagging on him. Per is getting almost no flak meanwhile.

thought he was very good in the first 60 minutes but faded.
I don't think our D can be fixed until kos is back. per can't handle the added responsibility.
bringing poldi on when you're trying to defend, hold onto the ball, and kill off a game was madness. also, taking off two of our paciest players when we're going to have the ability to counter was awful too. don't mind the rosicky sub, but maybe for santi or the clearly gassed Ramsey?

I in no way know as much about this sport and club as you guys do, but Arsène's substitution choices and timing yesterday had me baffled.
I'm trying to stay positive about our CL campaign, but the way our group is playing out really has me concerned.

Arsene's subs make less and less sense every game.

we're pretty much assured of advancing despite our form. the fact that it's November and we still aren't a good team is most disconcerting to me.

Be sure to get your bets in for a Swansea win while you still can! They are a very quality team going forward, and for the life of me I can't see Arsenal coming back from Wales with anything but a defeat at this time. Our defending has been downright comical for much of this season, recent clean sheets against bottom sides in the league notwithstanding.
Amazing how one poor 30-minute spell in the second half of a match can make me feel so negative about getting a win against a team we really should be beating.

I'm really not too pessimistic. We took our foot off the gas. I don't think it'll happen again.
I think we go 4-1-4-1
Szcz
Calum-Per-Monreal-Gibbs
Flamini
Ox-Jack-Ramsey-Sanchez
Welbz
Might see Santi in there for Jack, fitness depending. Santi's played better in a midfield three, because he can drop deep and distribute long incisive passes.
I feel 1-1 draw or 2-1 win.

The only thing I'm optimistic about is that there will be chances in this game. With the way that both teams like to put it down and play, we should create opportunities to score goals. I just hope we are able to take more of our chances than Swansea do theirs.

This team is not better, completely on Arsene. I love the guy but nothing will change until he is gone.
