I'll be honest. I hate soccer with a passion. A bunch of grown arse men running around acting like they just got shot every time someone breathes on them wrong. Mainly loved by Communists.
But I'll say this, if the US beats Germany, I'm going to lose my shite. Cause I love this country so I'm watching every second of every US game and screaming my lungs out the entire time just like Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night.

Soccer is kind of like figure skating, gymnastics, or curling, we all give a shite what the USA does during the Olympics and watch. Two weeks later most have forgotten and very few still care. Not so sure why accepting this offends so many soccer fans. I personally do not need to feel validated by what I choose to follow as a sport.

Soccer isn't popular in Vietnam or Cuba. The Soviet Union had a solid presence but nothing too significant. Brazil, UK, Argentina, (West) Germany, Italy, France, etc are not Communist countries.
