Love it. Really hope it's true because I've been wanting to see this kid in the EPL.

Reports that Gareth Bale agrees to 6 yr deal with Real
quote:
Sports daily Marca, which is well known for its close allegiance to Real, also claims that Bale will be paid 10m Euros (£8.6m) a season and has already told Spurs he wants to leave.
However, this is in stark contrast to Andre Villas-Boas' stance - the Tottenham manager re-iterating the club's position as recently as Tuesday morning.
Speaking at a press conference in Hong Kong ahead of the Asia Trophy, Villas-Boas said: "On Gareth, I want to repeat what I was telling you last season and what I was telling you from the beginning of (pre-season) so I cannot extend myself.

Real should get Suarez and Bale. Just so it can be that much more beautiful when Thiago plays a through ball to Ribery who lays it off for... JULIAN GREEN who slots it home to win the Champions League as Cristiano Ronaldo sits on the grass crying.

umm Liverpool Echo with a rumor Liverpool are going to accept our £40m bid...
That sounds like they are regurgitating the caught offside article below it... When it comes from the echo and is written by James Pearce, I may start to get Nervous...

What is the fee for Bale rumored to be?
Also, how long does his contract run through with Totts?

it is very odd how British papers are so disconnected. seems like, outside of the Times and Guardian, there are reputable journos out there, but their paper runs with drivel that sometimes even contradicts their good work. it's all very odd.

They have no sources. They just consolidate every rumor from all of the major tabloids into one location. Hence why they cite Caught Offside for the rumor
Posted on 7/23/13 at 11:09 am to hendersonshands
every tweet I'd read from Sid Lowe makes it sound like they need to sell before they buy. but maybe that's just assuming they have funds set aside for Bale and need to sell to get Suarez.

There is one thing that they all have in common - $. Aside from BBC, Times and Guardian, the rest do whatever it takes to get traffic.

I think the divide is based mostly on broadsheets versus tabloids. The reputable papers are broadsheets, and the rest are tabloids. That explains most of the disconnect.
