What's up with the Seville exodus? I noticed they had like 4 pretty good players leave the club this summer.

Monchi did a spectacular job here as sporting director.

Gotcha, nothing wrong with that. Not everyone can be a buyer.

Brazilian TV still saying we're close with Bernard...I'm so confused.

I would die of shock and happiness if we signed Suarez and Bernard in the same week.

Their battle is with Real Betis. Sevilla is the Real Madrid of Andalusia, the Canaries, Venezuela and North Africa.

Málaga had hoped to have a say, we´ll see how that turns out. Last year certainly was wonderful, wasn´t it?

Suarez can play any of the front 4 positions. He has paired with another striker multiple times throughout his career..some have worked, others haven't. He has thrived with Sturridge and he and KJH killed the Eredivisie. But, he and Cavani have never partnered well for the national team, and he really struggled with Carroll.

He's best as a 9 or false 9, imo. I wouldn't pair him with Giroud, though Giroud is certainly good in link-up play. I'd surround him with a creative player (Coutinho/Cazorla) and a pacey finisher (Sturridge/Walcott).

I like wm, but I still don´t see what the rest of the world sees in this guy.

I really don´t.

He's incredibly athletic and physically perfect. Has good movement and instinct. Good finisher as well.

Not on the level of Falcao/Suarez/RvP/Ibra/Aguero/Lewa though (imo)

I don´t disagree.

That his payday is similar or superior to most of these, absolutely blows my mind.

I dunno, I see him in the same class as those other forwards... the two things he has over Luis is pace and aerial ability and I would probably say he's a bit more clinical with his finishing.... same hard work rate, too... I think he will be far better off in the Uruguayan set up once Forlan hangs it up... He is usually asked to play out wide when Suarez and Forlan are in the line up and its not his best position..

I haven't seen him much, really to be honest this summer was the first time I'd watched him "extensively." I am definitely a fan of him though, he looks like he's carved out of stone and for his poacher or at least "ugly goal" reputation, he was playing absurdly deep in some of their games. I remember multiple times seeing him hassling guys in their defensive 18. All of that said, I'm not going to comment on his transfer fee or anything like that because we all know how wildly inconsistent those are. Brilliantly done by Napoli though.

It's crazy how expensive people are going for. We got Thiago for pennies.

It's this. Falcao had the Ligue 1 transfer record for only a few weeks.

I think this is the last correction before FFP comes in, though I'm not sure FFP will do anything long term, save perhaps having players submit transfer requests instead of whatever they do now.
