So much for free speech while expecting privacy. I'd take these bastards to court for defamation for blasting my name all over the internet.

People walking around in public have no expectation of privacy.

And if they do, they are dumber then they look.

The idiots outing these protestors have nothing to do because they're unemployable liberals, and the protestors they're outing don't have real jobs because they're white trash.

I'm not sure why the liberals think this is some kind of gotcha, but it does show that step number one in the liberal handbook is to try to ruin the lives of everyone who disagrees with you.

actions have consequences, especially when your actions are repugnant and on video.

Cool. Everyone has a right to free speech. You also have consequences that come from that right.

Ask Colin fricking Kaepernick.

That right isn't a "get out of jail free" card. No exceptions.

We agree on something.

Depends. Americans love a good underdog story. Especially ones involving redemption.

Some of the best hires I've ever made were recovering drunks and crackheads.

Businesses also hate bad PR.

Which is sort of where I am coming from in that concern that I am currently conflicted and of two minds.

Take Justine Sacco, a PR employee that I would argue was wrongly accused of being racist due to a one-off poor taste and poorly delivered joke over twitter as her plane took off, that went viral, and ruined her career before her plane landed.

3 years later, and as far as I know, she still can not find employment in any area of her field. And there is a good chance that any background check going forward will pull up that incident and it will continually come down to whether a company wants to put their faith into her as a public face or cog of their company image over any other potential applicant that does not have that footprint following them around.

On the other hand, it is hard to garner much sympathy from me for naming people that attended these rallies openly and willingly. In isolation, I don't find it much different then the sort of journalists and anti-racists in the early 20th century that outed KKK members. Many that won awards for the reporting that led to uncovering some of the shadow networks of influence. Which as a consequence that process of shaming and norm shifting against that behavior helped suppress that form of extremism.

The difference of course is that those lists had a shelf life only as long as the public consciousness, and there wasn't google and an army of background research companies to comb for your digital footprint when you tried to re-integrate into society after some time. Which makes the context of the situation a good bit different. Which should with it elevate the level of caution people have in reaching for social shaming. But like in the past, it is hard to argue that ultimately the free speech to preach hate shouldn't also give your opponent the right to voice their concern with your employer. And if your employer wants to exercise the rights most states afford them, they too will have the ability to exercise their rights to terminate that employee.

Yeah, well, when someone has done everything to redeem their lives and have made the necessary changes to do that; you more often than not, gain an extremely loyal employee. So, not only do you fight rabidly for your cause; you are unwilling or unable to forgive past transgressions? Must be nice to play God.

Yeah, it's good to take the approach of 100 years ago!

Many that won awards for the reporting that led to uncovering some of the shadow networks of influence

I'm not looking for any awards. Just to make money and provide people an occupation so they can do the same.

your digital footprint when you tried to re-integrate into society after some time

And I'm not as big on this because I'm not a Fortune 500 company; and I'm more concerned with what this person in front of me is doing now. Their past doesn't really concern me if they have proved over time they have changed. But again, I forgive and give second chances because; I've lived it, because time and time again, some of my best guys are a shining example of this and are my most loyal.

frick no. We gave that up when we decided to put cameras on our phones and all get Facebook accounts. As another poster pointed out Google Justin Sacco. One dumb tweet and her career was ruined.

Poor little nazis. At least the klan was smart enough to cover their faces. It's kinda "Being a racist idiot in public without bringing shame upon yourself and others" 101.

So that's why BLM puts masks on.

Cover their faces like antifa does?

Should be no mask rules in public

No one wearing a mask is up to anything good

Antifa is exactly like the Klan now that you mention it

Why are masked terrorists frequently given free rein to roam the streets by left wing mayors?

Here locally and in some other places in Alabama you cannot wear a mask during a demonstration. The cops WILL unmask you and did at a Richard Spencer event in Auburn where they forced ANTIFA to unmask and unhood or be arrested on the spot.

If they did this everywhere ANTIFA thugs would face the same scrutiny that the people talked about here did and it would go far towards ending them.

I was thinking of that exact incident, should be a law everywhere.

That should be pressed so we cabling watch leftists defend mask wearing.

You can't wear hoods here either, I think those hoods were the reason for the law. There is an exception made for Mardi Gras here in Mobile.

I wonder what would happen in Berkeley if the police suddenly started to unmask ANTIFA as they march up to do their anonymous thingie.

Then they face this kind of scrutiny.
