In a week or so they will be doxxing anyone deemed to be "alt-right", i.e. anyone under the age of 40 who expresses non-neocon conservative views.

The major issue we face in America right now is that leftism is the true fascism, and anyone with anything going for them in life is not going to call them out on anything, because it's just not worth dragging their family and careers through the mud

I am not sure if it is the biggest issue but it is right up there at the top, good post!

The left is currently winning the online culture war, and the right is just a sitting duck. If fricking terrifying. These people are so emboldened because nobody wants to face the leftwing media bullshite backlash from actually sticking it to them. It's just not worth it to anybody.

Well said.

If I got fired from my job? So people are no longer free to assemble and exercise their voice without fearing for their jobs?

If we encourage such things, its going to be a blood bath. Where does it end?

Especially if these were good employees at their companies. Where do we draw the line?

They WANT people to start making laws to restrict speech...this will be the END of our democracy if it takes root. Maybe not now, but it will be a major tool for an authoritarian rule if any speech laws get enacted. The day that happens is going to be an awful day.

People need to learn to allow others to express their opinions no matter what terrible they might be. If those opinions become actions THEN you can make your move, but unless that happens this needs to stop.

White supremacists should be free to do this in peace. IDGAF what you say. So should satanic worshippers be free to worship satan in peace and speak about it in peace. If you don't believe this, then I don't want to live in the country you think we should have.
Interesting. I'm sure this is your view as well when the stories pop up now and then of a fast food employee refusing to serve cops?

If you're out there shouting racist shite, holding Nazi flags etc etc, I've no problem with you getting fired.

But, there were a LOT of people out there and, I'm guessing a lot of them were there simply to protest a statue being removed.

I don't think getting fired for being IN the assembly is remotely reasonable but I suspect it's gonna happen.

One wonders. How many of the "we want dead cops" brigade got fired?

And, if the "you were with em" standard applies, shouldn't EVERYONE in ANTIFA be fired?

You're equating being at a protest with refusing to do your job?

here is a flyer for the event. Yep, lots of people just showed up at the event to show solidarity with not removing the monuments, especially after the rally teh day before.

A lot of these folks might be deterred from participating in these type of marches if they are going to be exposed to employers and communities.

They might be deterred from marching, but being deterred isn't going to change their minds. I'd much rather this be kept out in the open. Once these movements go underground, and they are exposed only to the echo chamber, it is going to be much worse for everyone once they come back out in the open. Out of sight, out of mind also breeds complacency.

Are you counting all the night-time people with torches? Because I don't see how anyone can deny the intended imagery from that travesty.

It depends. I mean, I don't want any of my employees and/or partners being "white nationalists" in the long run of my dealings with them.

Hopefully all, although there are way less of them than Richard Spencer followers.

I would similarly not like anyone at my place of business to be associated with ANTIFA or its mindset.

It's the decision of the business owner to fire whomever he/she pleases for any reason. I'm equating The Ilk's eagerness to opine on that selectively.

To be fair, they have to first HAVE jobs, to get fired from them.

You're being downvoted, but you're stating verifiable facts here, that are literally impossible to prove otherwise.

Some fricking retards downvoting this simply because they don't agree.

Facts >> feelings.

There's no doubt that obviously most if not almost all responded to that flier. And, my sympathy meter for them is stuck on don't give a frick.

But, it's pretty much a given that some people in the crowd didn't see that flier. Probably a small subset, but they likely exist nevertheless.

Then, you get those looky loo types who exist in any situation.

And, they're going to be in the photos too.

Some of them are going to get fired too.

No. They're morons.

Even if they could reasonably argue they aren't racist, they can't be that fricking obtuse.

The problem comes in determining that based on presence in a photo if they aren't obvious.(signs, torches etc)

Pahleez. They are huge in number.

I agree. Yet, many got interviewed on CNN like they were practically heroes.
