Where do most of you get your news from and what do you consider the most reliable?

Only Alex Jones and Glen Beck, and also anyone who believes that Obama is actually Malcom X's son, and chemtrails, and something about vaccines and autism.

This is what news has devolved to.

You read a news article, then review the source material ( transcript, unedited video, text) and realize you've been lied to.

I trust CNN. That's how I know that Trump will start concentration camps for gays....and that he's compromised and completely controlled by the Russians.

The only outlet I find intolerable is NBC and its affiliates. CNN's production quality and unmatched event coverage offsets the often liberal slant.

How can some of y'all not consider Fox News as much MSM as MSNBC or CNN?

If you get your news from everywhere and every source, you are really able to form your own opinion by weeding out the nut jobs.

CNN is more alternative since they are a tabloid.

Fox and MSNBC are MSN.

Bit by bit.

A shame, but that's the way it is in 1984. The only thing that is certain is they're all suspect but also often fairly obvious.

I get my news from all of the mainstream places, but you learn over time how to filter out the bullshite and detect the bias.

I set up a news aggregator and sometimes look at Drudge, which also is just a collection of news articles from a bunch of different sources. For business focused news I like WSJ, Fox Business, or CNBC.

I sometimes look at but maintain skepticism with slanted news organizations such as most talk radio, NPR, MSNBC, Mother Jones, NYT, or the broadcast networks. I always try to keep their agenda in mind when consuming their content.

I never trust a single source for a story and I never even bother with unreliable content or tabloids like Buzzfeed, National Inquirer, Rolling Stone, or CNN. Read/watch those at your own risk.

It's impressive. Sound quality alone head and shoulders above other outlets.

This is actually a return to the 19th century, when every city had a Republican paper and a Democrat paper.

As newspapers consolidated and became less diverse in the 20th century, this idea of journalistic impartiality developed.

Vietnam and Nixon drove journalism left, but journalists still clung to this concept of neutrality -- all the while crusading for liberal causes.

What we're seeing with the rise of alternative media is the end of this alleged non-partisanship.

I watch the news and use my own critical reasoning skills to decipher the truth from the propaganda agenda of whatever news source I am watching. I also use find that this site is an excellent source of news due to the constant effort of those here to post positive and negative articles and events regarding all things politics.
