Women do most of the purchasing so most commercials are geared towards women.

It's fine to be "sexist" towards men because most men can take it and won't organize a boycott. And if they did, no one would care.

Ads who target men, though, don't usually take that same approach of making women the butt of the joke. Instead, they make women appear desirable and they portray men as rugged, smart, sexy, etc. Reminds me of the Family Guy beer commercial: "If you buy it, hot women will have sex in your back yard."

This and no, obviously very few are "upset" over the liberal agenda since it is clearly a prevalent trend. And yes, in the early days of media, women were portrayed in a submissive/subordinate role but there was no dark agenda/intentional plot to subdue women. Flash forward and there is no doubt in my mind that there IS a social agenda today run by largely liberal progressive media. There IS intent to mold society in their own image. That's the difference.
