Jared Kushner gave private talk as part of Congressional Intern Lecture Series

He told Congressional interns that Donald Trump's election team could not have colluded with Russia because they 'couldn’t even collude with our local offices'

He also said: 'I'm a lot more comfortable talking to you guys today ’cause there isn’t any press'

Intern director warned the attendees not to leak contents of the talk to press

One source gave a copy of written notes from Kushner's talk to magazine Foreign Policy

Until people actually get caught and prosecuted, this garbage will continue regardless of who's watch he/she is under.

How were most administrations able to ensure sufficient loyalty such that meaningful, damaging leaks were limited?

Mooch said he was going to fire every intern.

Safe to say Mooch had a plan. Kelly does not. Kelly is in over his head.

Why does everything have to be so confidential? I see nothing wrong with what Jared said.

What's damaging about this leak?

Hillary's bagmen sat in on every such discussion and lecture.

"or else" was implied at the end of every "dont do that".

I don't think there is anything damaging about it.

Replace "meaningful, damaging" with "leaks Trump and senior staff want to avoid."

The Obama admin was notorious for their battle to contain leakers. This was especially true early on in the administration.

The huge difference is that the Obama-friendly media wasnt salivating to put leaked information on primetime news.

He's on his second day.

Plus why does this story matter? There are leaks then there are LEAKS.

The overall statement is backed in the news that The Trump campaign was not run like any campaign and had far less money as they compared to at the time: the HRC campaign.

It is why they were especially seething they lost; as HRC piled up millions in Clinton slush foundation funds to reach a billion dollar campaign like Obama did so she could definitely win. (She also supposedly bought Obama's GOTV machine) and they atill lost...

But... I see the issue is the leaking itself...Are there any Obama holdovers? Remember the media made fun of Trump because he was so green he hadn't hired staffers so Obama's peeps stayed over?

I think he's getting at the broader leaking from the administration. There are reasons this staff is like a screen door on a submarine and it's not because they haven't cracked down hard enough.

For most administrations, it's less of a problem because most administrations aren't led by a deranged socio-path.

That's not a leak

Though the meeting was supposed to remain off the record, a source gave magazine Foreign Policy a copy of written notes from Kushner's talk, which covered the investigation into the Trump campaign's potential ties to Russia and Kushner's security clearance forms.
But why in the hell would he be talking about an ongoing investigation with interns? Jesus

I agree with that.

But, I also think the Obama WH had a lot more true believers in what the administration wanted to accomplish. I imagine plenty in Trump's WH have no idea what Trump wants to accomplish.

I caveat that point about Obama to say that I also expect a bunch of Obama staffers lost faith in the administration in the latter years.
