Wouldn't be hard, under this scenario, for TX, AR, NM to take great advantage. Make life easier for immigrants , profit at the polls.

If you look at it county by county it is clearly red, but popular vote is closer than one would imagine.

it's not quite there yet but it will be, it's just a matter of time.

Scary thought.

I love when people outside of the state - or Austin - declare they know which way the wind blows in Texas.

I would consider Austin about as far removed from Texas reality as possible.

it's really not that hard, it's just math and turnout. Texas is traditionally a low turnout state. Democrats have been investing heavily on turnout apparatus around Texas at a time the demographics here are changing. It's not rocket science nor do you have to live in a certain place to understand it.

and yet it's the state capital.

Austin is just as much a part of Texas as any other part of the state, regardless of how the far right wingers feel about it.

Texas isn't going blue... I saw some graphic showing how the trend is actually going the other way, wish I could find it

not in the next couple of cycles. but if the trends keep moving in the direction they have been moving in then it will.

this is just a microcosm of what you're seeing on a national scale.

but by all means, keep living in denial.

Doesn't make it right. It is actually a disturbing trend, if it truly is a trend.
