Anyone who entered the capital on Jan 6th was an idiot.
Doesn't matter what their intent, doesn't matter if it was legal or not, the only thing that matters is
To the winner go all the spoils.
The people who won hate the people that were at the capital and were looking for any reason to drop the hammer on them. These people willingly threw themselves right into the socialists trap, some of them ran gleefully into it.
Save the crying about what's right and wrong. THEY'RE running the show. Period. End of Chapter and likely end of story.

That's not really a legal foundation for imprisoning someone
Right, the legal foundation is that he was trespassing in the United States Capitol Building.

A clear & present danger to our democracy!!

Is this even real? There is no one named Conover in the indictments list.

I'm sure BLM protesting a Trump victory would have been treated exactly the same way.

Okay, so every woman during the womens march did this as well. Including elected officials.
But you dont care about that do you? Just about some dude posting a selfie with a beer can.
But did he knowingly enter and remain in a restricted building. Did someone actually say to him this is a restricted building, leave?
This goes for 1 and 2
Did he utter loud or threatening language? for 2(d)
He broke 2(G) But so did AOC.
Whats the oppropriate punishment for 2(G)
Imo he didnt trespass because he didnt remain on private property after being told to leave.
No if he threatened people, and destroyed property then he broke laws. All the other stuff is just bullshite.
At worse he should get a misdemeanor if he destroyed property.

It's outrageous that they charged this guy with anything.
If having bad taste in beer was a crime I would vote to convict.

If you're waved into the building by the capitol police, is that trespassing?

I'd say he knew he wasn't supposed to be there

Is there a section that mentions all of these statutes are suspended when the Senate is trying to confirm a Supreme Court nominee you don't like? Because every single one of those "laws" were broken by Kavanaugh protesters and I don't remember doe diddley poo being done about it.

Over 200 people were arrested during the Kavanaugh hearings

I mean, he admits to “storming the Capitol” in his own words. But even putting that aside, anyone who saw what was going on that day and though it was totally ok to just waltz on in and join the party is in a completely different class of stupidity. From looking at this guy, I’m not going to say it’s impossible that he really is that stupid of a person, and if that’s the case, I’d suggest his court appointed attorney argue that he is not mentally fit to stand trial.
So by your account all of those people in that Rotunda should be in Solitary? What if the police let them in?
100's of Kavabaw Protestors were Arrested, wonder if they were sent to solitary for a year?.
Like I said before, there are two Teirs of Justice, one for the Progs shock Troops and one for anyone that Supports Donald Trump.

Then what happened to them? Honest question, I don't know. What type of sentences did they serve?
