Ulterior Motives to the Unexpected Praise from the Left?

Of course, some pundits and commentators (Cooper) have at least a history of showing some ability to be objective. But when Van Jones, who has never let objectivity and truth stand in the way of his agenda, gives a glowing praise, I'm naturally a bit skeptical.

I'm wondering if they are going to use to say "look we were ready to join you."

Then when Trump does something, they can frame it as "Trump was the one who moved away from us." But I sense some ulterior motives, to some of this at least.

I think they are in damage control mode for how horribly they looked in the chamber.

He spoke like the liberal he's always been, great speech tonight.

I think they just can't spin the speech to their favor. It was just a great speech and sometimes you just have to tip your hat to your opponent.

Meh. They should have been completely expected. That's how it always is.

Van Jones later told Santorum that they could still fight over everything else in the speech, after he lauded the Navy Seal widow moment. I don't think he's ready to kneel & kiss the ring just yet.

It was nice to see he still has a sliver of soul left.

But Van Jones, who wept on TV?

Nope, listen to Van now. He's saying basically if you can't agree on OBVIOUS issues, democrats are compounding the problem. He just had a moment of lucidity.

You didn't see the soul when he was LITERALLY crying on election night?

Hey, I don't like Auburn but sometimes they're just better. Don't like it but sometimes it's true.

the Left doesn't have a choice, they've literally been backed into a corner, and Trump kneecapped them over and over tonight

Yeah, but Van Jones is more like a Finebaum caller who can't admit it.

Van Jones actually does give credit where it's due in instances like these.

He's an enigma. He can be totally partisan and the next day he says something like this. This is not uncommon with Van Jones.

Many of you just don't know this because the only time you see him is when a video gets passed around of him saying something outrageous.

I'm not a Van Jones fan, but that is an honest assessment of him.

I think they know there was no way they couldn't commend Trump tonight.

They're all leafs on a pond. If the wind's blowing hard enough, off they go. I've never seen more naked Democrats in all my life!!
