right

its worse

they are tax payer funded

so again...why no demand for transparency?

They are taxpayer funded and know one said there would be a lack of transparency...these people are the PhD's on the NSA Staff and on the the White House Advisory Staff...the Eco Nazis inside the EPA have turned away from Peer Review and moved toward Absolutism, with harsh fines and Court Ordered Mandates to anyone who dared challenge EPA Absolutism.

Yeah I'd run away from this topic too. Even Murray Rothbard ate shite when he tried to tackle it.

I assure you there is nothing sarcastic about the fact that Austrian-style anarcho-capitalism is incompatible with the existence of an atmosphere.

While having scientific findings filtered through a political review is bad, the worst part of this thread is all the people claiming that EPA employees work for Trump.

Newsflash, you idiots, they all work for US - including the President. They are not suddenly in the employ of Trump, LLC.

I think this is the downfall of our political system, when the People start to believe that the government exists solely as some sort of anti-business entity. The government is US, it's how we choose to govern ourselves. As soon as you give up ownership of it, their are powers willing to step in and take the power for themselves.

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT

Undoubtedly one established by an act of Congress and considered Constitutional by the Supreme Court.

I get your point though, but the President isn't supposed to have sole discretion on which duties he fulfills. Not picking on Trump, I feel like we've cynically gotten used to this mindset over time. God knows Barry cherry picked what laws and duties he fulfilled.

If this is true then good for Trump. The radical left in various departments have done nothing but attempt to undermine him and discredit him since day 1. If they can't get on board with the direction this country is going then they can try to find a job in the private sector.

Scientific data is scientific data regardless of the "direction of this country". Trump can say he ignoring the scientific data to create policy but he can't change the facts that are presented. And for everyone that absolutely knows the science is wrong, get a effin life.

Trump administration mandating EPA scientific studies, data undergo review by political staff before public release.

Good idea. I certainly don't want to hear the unvarnished conclusions of expert scientists until Kellyanne Conway has had an opportunity to scrub them down with alternative facts.

So the proposed fix is to get more political? This is stupid. Why not publish dissenting opinions and confirming opinions with it. And let peer review work it's magic?

Oh boy, so people like Bannon are going to scrub scientific findings before release.

Brave new world, folks!

Does the EPA have a lock on such data? Do you envision no political repercussions if Kellyanne Conway chooses to scrub EPA data down with alternative facts to the detriment or harm of the American public?

Faulty assumption. Being anti-EPA isn't the same as being anti-environment.

First off, bullshite, because anytime you mention climate change or being concerned for the environment environment on this board, you're called a tree hugging pussy. The average poster doesn't give a flying frick about the environment when it comes to corporatism, which they are misidentifying as capitalism.

Secondly why the frick shouldn't the American people know about data the EPA finds? I think that can be some pretty important information. Trump doesn't own the EPA, the people do. For Trump to have the authority to release to the American people EPA findings is quite disturbing really. It's a minor but first step to a dictatorship to monitor any information that can harm his bottom line.
