Transgenderism is a mental disorder with associated statistics showing high likelihood of depression and costs associated with hormones and potentially surgery, that many fear will one day be subsidized (or already is? Can't remember.) by the taxpayer dollar. That does not fit the bill for an optimally performing military.

The fact of the matter is the military is not a social incubator. It's purpose is to defend the country and all this progressive bullshite takes away from. No different than woman in combat arms....they don't belong there due to what is required and all the extra crap that will be required of leaders in a military stretched to thin.

How so? You seem to be pointing to an anomaly and claiming it is the expected norm. The difference is, he kept his personal battles private most likely out of fear of reaction.
Change that accepted norm to one where waving your mental illness flag is encouraged, is where the disruption starts. Then he ought to realize that most SEAL Teams would be disrupted because my experience is they generally aren't professional. So I guess they would do better with the Rangers, Green Beanies, Jarheads or even the PJ's.
