Union workers regularly put in an honest day’s work. It’s often very hard work and sometimes dangerous( longshoremen, etc.).

What is the downside to a union?

Unions become a bureaucracy that members have to support through dues, etc.

Unions get into politics and union dues go to support candidates you don’t like.

Unions become one size fits all. Below average workers get the same pay as above average workers. This caused the good workers to slow down when they realize that they aren’t rewarded for their efforts.

What ever happened to putting in an honest days work and not complaining. Poll after poll show millennials and younger favor unions to “protect” them against their employer. People just don’t want to work hard anymore

This is an absolutely awful take.

Businesses exist in our system because there is something inside of many individuals that tells them they can do it. They can make it better, or they can do it better, if they can work harder and they can become the boss of something they believe in.

These people will risk their time and their money to get do it themselves. Many fail, but many succeed and are rewarded for their efforts.
