Stop being an idiot. I don't recall this much ire about all of the people that voted for Obama just because he was black. And if Piper really believes in predestination, he needs to read Daniel 2:21 (NLT)"He controls the course of world events; He removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars."

Well, that is your choice.

To me, TRUMP/Pence is pissing off the extreme left and the extreme right, which is perfect. Hopefully, we get fiscal frugality, with social agnosticism.

Government should stay out of my 1) Pocket, 2) church and 3) bedroom.

Religious zealots scare me as much as the radical left.

One lone human being does not an evangelical right make.

He's just a lone human being not really putting everything together. If this country survived a morally decrepit Obama who took swipes at Christianity the entire time he was in office, stemming from a church who's own pastor said GD America, then we'll make it through this just fine.

Church, you need to worry about the log in your own eye before you start trying to pull the splinter from everyone else's eye. Focus on the millionaire Christianity mentality and weak weak moral stances plaguing churches all over this country and leave Caesar to deal with Caesar.

my wife has never not voted R till this election along with quite a few of my "evangelical" friends. condescend much?

Many, many people I know were not going to vote for him before he released his short list for the Supreme Court. Most of those are what you would consider to be "evangelical."

I'm sure the eight "evangelicals" that you know in Alabama would've shifted the election.

no argument here. religious right make me sicker than regressive left at times.

i kind of have the best of both worlds in this current scenario.

i'm about as conservative as you can get as a christian and politically. but i know i don't live in a perfect world and set hopes and expectations accordingly

i.e.
i may think homosexuality is a sin, but so is gluttony, premarital sex, greed, not taking care of widows, immigrants, and orphans, and road rage. none of them separate man from God more than another. for some reason the religious right loses their shite over 1 sin and decides to lose a generation of voters. i think it's sin, but i don't want to legislate it. why piss off an entire demographic with politics and lose the chance to share Christ with them? Incredibly foolish and short sighted.

which comes to election, while i find some of Trump's behaviour morally "bad" i am more ok with his world view than Hillary's x100000000. and again, i'm not electing him as my pastor or to date my daughter, i'm electing him to lead the country.

so instead of diefying a position of power and putting my hope/anger/joys in a person, i can be happy with the results, but still not be in dismay that a "good Christian man" is not leading the country.

my conscience is good, and i get to enjoy liberal tears.

i trust that number as far as i can throw it. the only way i can buy that is if a huge change comes from the midwest of evangelicals who voted for Obama the last two rounds.

What would you like to discuss? I'm not debating whether or not you believe factual information. If you don't, I simply don't care.

i seem to remember you thinking polls were factual before the election as well.

my point is, you are discounting anecdotal evidence in favor of a poll.

Trump had larger rallies, everybody on this board knew plenty of minorities and women voting for Trump, etc., but polls told us he was going to lose bigly with all minorities and the rallies didn't matter. Then he went on to win more educated women than Hilldog, and do better with minorities than McCain or Romney.

You can discount my assertions, that there were a lot of evangelicals that did not vote for him (moreso a Republican) for the first time or not, but you go ahead and enjoy your polls and hard data. They made you look really smart Nov 9.

I'm discounting your particular anecdotal evidence because I have my own that says otherwise.

Also, I'm working under the apparently incorrect assumption that you understand the difference between general election polls and exit surveys.

No, He would not have!! The only people Jesus said to take care of were widows and orphans.

Jesus would have had social programs. Really, based upon what? No evidence of such other than the charge to care for widows and orphans and that charge was given to His believers and not some government.

Nope. Jesus never said we should turn to the government for charity. This thought is completely counter to His teachings.
