GOP and Ryan had 8 fricking years

That's roughly 2900 days to come up with a repeal and replace. They failed miserably. They can all go seriously frick themselves.
This election to anyone with a brain has shown just how spineless the majority of the GOP is as a whole. Unbelievable.

So your underlying premise is "a bill being bad is sufficient for Congress not to pass it?"

Of course, they have to actually read it to know it's bad, which they don't always do.

How about cueing "it's not a good bill" instead.

Why do liberals like you keep repeating this? He supports the framewok and has continually called for the bill to advance so it can be tweaked and strengthened.

It's both. Trump threw all his weight behind it and couldn't close the deal. It's being reported they have have more no votes today than they did yesterday. Tru.o is going to blame Ryan and House R's, throw a temper tantrum and probably wind up costing him political capital with them. I doubt he gets any major legislation passed.

I tend not to run all Bill's into one. I have the ability to assess them one at a time. In this instance it's a horrible replacement bill because it doesn't fully repeal Obamacare. Try to stay focused. Feel free to bring up other Bill's and I will comment.

nah. It's failing because it's a bad bill.

Then why was Trump pushing representatives to pass it? Are you saying that he doesn't have the best interests of his constituents in mind?

With as much media profile as this?

People have been bitching and theorizing about this for years, with different congressmen having different demands from their constituents.

I wouldn't equivocate it to your average "every Tuesday is taco day and we all get pork" bill.

That said, Trump's inability to STFU set the table for congressmen to have the spine necessary to stand for principles.

I agree with Iosh. Trump should buy off the freedom caucus with pork the way Obama did southern dems and pass this bitch using parliamentary trick shots because unilateral rule over 20% of the economy worked so well the first time.

Do you think it's a gotcha type question?

Here is where conservative voters rise above their left leaning counterparts. We will call our leaders on doing the wrong thing. Does that mean they are wrong on everything? No.

If more people in the left had the balls to call out their political leaders we would be in a better way in this country. Give it a try some time. It's fun to be an educated voter and citizen. You don't have to accept everything as being good because it's your party.

Sure I don't doubt Trump can fail at negotiating. I don't have those delusions.

Sure. Do most of those "bad bills" attempt to overturn something of the magnitude of ACA?

You are better than that statement.

He is going a little out of his way to troll the board here, but I'm going to allow this.

This. The fact that republicans are debating and disagreeing on this issue rigorously should be resfreshing in the era of nuclear options, reconcilliation, filibuster, and judicial activism.
