We should be using nitrogen asphyxiation or hypoxia. Two very painless forms of execution, you just breathe and then drift off to sleep and never wake up. It's unbelievable they aren't used for the DP. It'd prevent a mess like what we have making the rounds through the courts now these days.

I agree, they should have been using nitrogen all along, it is the perfect solution.

In this particular case I personally would have preferred the woman have been just left in a cell without food until she starved to death.

Bio of the murderer:
"According to court documents she has bipolar disorder and endured a deeply troubled upbringing. Her mother became pregnant with her aged 13 after being raped by a family member. Coleman was physically and sexually abused by family members and grew up in foster care, where she may also have been sexually abused."

There is no compassion on this board for what this woman endured as a child herself? Not excusing what she did but these things do not occur in a vacuum. She was severely abused and the same society that condemned her to death did nothing to help her when she herself needed it. Justice my arse!

Yes, I have compassion for what she went through. I'm still glad she's dead though.

She has paid her debt, and I'm definitely not sad to see her go. But if there is a hell, I wish it on no one.

You are assuming someone knew of her abuse at the time.

"Her mother rarely visited her in care and gave her the nickname “Pig”. She was knifed in the back by a cousin aged 11, shortly after she learned through the taunts of several cousins that she was born as a result of rape. By the age of 16 she had used drugs, started drinking and had given birth to a child of her own. Before Davontae’s death, she had a criminal record for burglary and a drug-related offense."

She was in foster care. People knew. Sad situation all around and I can't feel happy that we ignored a problem so long that we finally had no choice but to execute it. And some morons here seem so delighted with themselves. I don't get it.

Good. But the poor little boy's mother deserves to die twice. Instead she is eligible for parole in another 20 yrs. She'll be 53. Plea bargain. I'm guessing she rolled on Coleman.

I actually feel bad for this woman. Don't get me wrong, justice was served, but it's just an example of how terrible this world can be.

How different would her life had been if someone was able to reach out to her early on.

TT9, you annoy me sometimes but I think I get your worldview. It's slightly enigmatic but I appreciate it even where I disagree w it.
