Evolution is just a theory. I see no problem with this whatsoever.

"Creationism is a theory based on writings purported to be influenced by the presence of a spirit. However, evolution is a theory based upon scientific evidence validating leaps in biology over lengthy periods of geological history and anthropological fossil records."

They can teach that and I'm fine with it.

I will never understand the sheer jealousy and hatred liberals have over Texas. It's the best state in the country to work, raise a family and have an optimal quality of life

Austin blows, it's a city of a million people with roadways designed for 250k and has an unjustifiably high cost of living. Most of Texas is fantastic though as far as cost of living, job opportunities, sports, entertainment, etc.

I'm a big alternative music, food truck, and craft beer fan and Austin has all three of those in great quantities

By the standards used to make that statement, so is gravity.

And many people hate living in states where government teaches we are nothing but evolved pond scum. Thus the reason civil government should stay out of education.

It's a great place to visit for a good time, but I'd never live within 20 miles.

Yeah, but it's still a theory.

Creationism is a belief, for example.

There's a little bit of difference between those two kinds of things.

If they want to teach different or even opposing scientific theories, no worries.

Teaching beliefs (particularly religious beliefs) as science really don't make no sense to me...

What I really want to know is if he would "challenge" that "theory" if his pastor told him to.

My pastor has laid out enough evidence for me to know that evolution is Satanic bullshite.

They are just adding curriculum offering different theories. That's a good thing.

No, it isn't. It severely hampers their education.

Has he weighed in on gravity? It's just a "theory" too.

Your pastor is a moron and you should change churches immediately or stop going altogether. There is no invisible man in the sky that hates gays.
