I'm talking about the left being suckered into defending the kneeling by talking about how shitty America is and how shitty white people are. It's glorious
It's really easy to defend constitutional rights without getting suckered into anything.

Trump could learn a lesson on that

what do you guys think the team was doing in the locker room.

They weren't. They were in the tunnel right behind him. Look at the picture of him.

Why do you have to lie in an attempt to make a point.

Huh? Do you think I’m saying that the national anthem is nonsense? I’m clearly saying that Tomlin wanted to send the message of “Y’all keep trying to make this anthem kneel/stand controversy into the story of the season, and we’re here to play football.” That the anthem issue had become a distraction to the sport, which is what most everyone here agreed with until this week.

that Tomlin decided, in absence of a unanimous opinion, that they keep them to themselves
Staying in the lockerroom is a statement.
Sorry.

If Tomlin thought differently, it was his mistake.

As for catching heat due to adopting nontraditional behavior in response to our National Anthem, those who can't stand the heat should stay out of the kitchen (and out of the lockerroom during the anthem).

But it's their choice.
Just as is the fans reactions to them.

The fact you or others are criticizing the country's freedom to respond as it sees fit, is ironical.
