STATES moves to block Obama

Limiting the amount of rounds.. not here!

Seems MS is not going to take it... Will the US send troops into MS to enforce the federal law??

quote:

Minutes after the U.S. president laid out a 23-point plan for gun control, Gov. Phil Bryant and House Speaker Philip Gunn said they would block any federal measures limiting the right to bear and possess arms from being enforced in Mississippi.

At first this was about MS, but since so many states have moved to pass laws restricting the reach of the federal government, I thought I would post others here as well

States telling washinton, frick you!

Laws being submitting making it a crime to enforce the new executive orders. Laws making it LEGAL for you to purchase large capacity mags as long as they are made inside the state.. etc..

But there is precedent in sending federal troops into states on Presidential orders.

re: STATES moves to block Obama
When you have states telling the federal gov that they will not enforce those laws and the states move to block those via .... state laws, something has to give.

will we see a civil war break out over state rights? or will we end up like a lot of euro countries and give in to the federal laws?

And so it begins...will be interesting to see if the Feds send people to try and enforce it or let the States exercise their powers.

If they send people it could get ugly.

So the Federal Government opposes:

Syria firing on its own people to control them.

Opposed Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya doing the same.

Opposed the Soviet Bloc and Maoist nations from doing it in the Cold War.

Opposes Islamic nations using heavy handed measures to break up demonstrations.

According to this they obviously will roll over and give up if we stood our ground right? I've lost all faith in the Federal Government. It's high time states take matters in their own hands. I think the south and midwestern states should petition the Federal Government for autonomous rule citing the vast differences in values from the west coast and northeast. Union remains intact and everyone can live the way they want.

This could get interesting in my area. Camp Shelby, the largest deployment center for the Army, is in the Hattiesburg area.

This is an easy fix. Mississippi, the poorest country in the Union, just won't get all the Federal money they so desperately need to appear even halfway viable.

I say let them suffer, let the citizens vote those idiots out of office, and find someone who will comply

FIFY Either the federal government uses force to enforce Obama's edict or they ignore the disregard for enforcement. Either way Obama loses in the face of the 2nd Amendment. There will likely be more challenges by more states citing violation of the 2nd Amendment eventually decided by the Supreme Court.
