So is this why Trey Gowdy was passed over for AG?

Hmmm?? Is it possible that Trump is so shrewd that he's been planning this all along and just now pulling the trigger? It would certainly explain why Gowdy was "overlooked" for so many potential positions in the Trump admin. Could it be that Gowdy was warming up in the bullpen all this time? LINK

-- TREY GOWDY: The South Carolina Republican led the House committee investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's actions surrounding the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya. Gowdy is also a former federal prosecutor who boasts of his work on drug trafficking, bank robberies and child pornography cases. He was among lawmakers critical of Comey's decision not to prosecute Clinton in the email server investigation, saying other government officials would have been prosecuted if they handled classified information like Clinton did, but federal officials disagree with that assessment. Gowdy said after Comey's firing that though he had differences with the former FBI director on some matters, he "never lost sight of the fact that he had a very difficult job."

While I love Gowdy. I think the right person for this role is as free from politics as possible. Preferably a company man who most of us have never heard of. The FBI needs to be trusted again and putting a politician in charge is not the way to do that.

And this is something that the Dems can ill afford. Because an honest and comprehensive investigation of the former Administration would expose corruption to a degree that would be impossible to overlook and punish as Law prescribes.

The Dems will fight any honest person, because they know the result. The go down.

The melt with Gowdy might be worth it. I like mitt romney or Kelly ayotte for the job, cuck the media so they can't complain when Russia story is rebuked

Would S Carolina still elect a republican senator with his departure? Senate majority is more important than Gowdy at the helm of the FBI

I think it is abundantly clear who the new FBI Director will be...

This. Im wouldnt be willing to take him out of the house without it being a VERY important position in the admin.

Yesterday, I suggested Sheriff David Clarke for FBI director. It appears I'm not the only one with the same thought.. LINK

This is important. And what if Cruz gets RBG seat? That would drop us by 2.

I'm fairly sure every administration is corrupt, not just Obama's. It's probably best we only know about 5% of what goes on.

I hope the new director's hatred for democrats burns with the intensity of a 1000 suns.
