I work with like 5 gay guys, a black man married to an Asian woman, a gay man in an interracial relationship (I'm sure that's triggering a mess of people in here), and live around several different races. Open up your social circle. It will do you some good.

Many firms find more value in marketing to multiple demographics. This is particularly true for large, nationwide corporations that absolutely need customers from multiple racial groups.
The fact that there are so many mixed-demo couples in commercials is not evidence of some insane global media conspiracy. It's simply evidence that it works.

How is it force feeding?
I can think of a grand total of one TV commercial off the top of my head that had an interracial couple. This wasn't even a commercial. It was a tweet. I never would have heard about it if TJ hadn't started a thread.
And any ad with human models necessarily involves a decision on the actors. Would you consider it force feeding if 100% of the couples were white and hetero? Do you think they should carefully calibrate their ads to be perfectly representative of the country?
