I had sympathy for Snowden when we initially went after him but I have difficulty siding with him when he openly humiliates us together with one of our enemies. I know he has a legitimate ax to grind but he is truly walking the treason tightrope in my opinion.
You're opinion proves you're a fricking idiot. The USA deserves to be humiliated for the piece of shite country it has become. The America federal government is the REAL enemy here. But you're a dumb shite and don't know better.

Even though Snowden's motivations may have been principled, he is still a traitor who should be killed or thrown in a prison until he is dead.

There were other, far less damaging ways for him to blow the whistle on the NSA. He took the coward's way out and sold his information to foreign governments.

Like I said, there's quite a difference between humiliating the gov't of this country which is necessary and needed and embarrassing this country's citizens. Snowden's efforts is and should be aimed at the gov't.

You say this and then proceed to say that...

If he's a bad person like you say, why in the hell would you say he has principled motivations?

Already been over this and I'll repeat myself again...

People are so naive and ignorant if they think Snowden could have successfully blown the whistle using "proper" channels. frick no, the gov't may talk a good game about transparency and honesty but that is complete lip service bull shite. They only want to get Snowden black bagged and stick him in a hole in the middle of nowhere. The number one instinct of the state is self preservation and image maintenance. It doesnt matter how noble it may be, if it makes the gov't uncomfortable, they're putting an end to that shite any way possible. We wouldn't have heard anything at all out of Snowden had he gone through the "proper" channels and gov't would be getting away with more bull shite lol.

I wonder, do you have difficulty with the fact that most of this board is openingly siding with our enemy Putin?

Why is he my enemy? What has he done to be my enemy?

Furthermore, many are siding with Snow, have not seen any side with Putin.

What is your definition of a traitor, one that blows the whistle, embarrasses horrible leaders, moves to a country that will let him live outside of prison.

What did Snow do so bad to this country? Normally traitors are not viewed as hero's by a large part of the population are they?

The Patriot Act probably never would have passed had Congress known to what extent it would really be used. It's a perfect example of what happens when our civil liberties are forfeited in the name of national security.

Any new gun laws would be abused as well. I'm convinced. When George W. Bush said, "fool us once... well... we just won't be fooled", I hope he was right.

I think everyone misses the point. The real question is, how do we splinter the military industrial complex? My answer, I have no idea lol.
