Don't see it happening but how would this help his run at President? And your right on all your assessment of entertainment

I don’t think he can get to 217, so all the clamoring for him does no good.

Again, I get “real, true conservatives” wanting “real, true conservatives”, or those who are “anti-swamp” wanting an “anti-swamper”, but said candidate still has to get 217 votes.

At some point, simple math is going to outweigh perfect ideology.

Fixed.

Flynt bluffed him into thinking they had proof of things they suspected but couldn’t prove.

I'm sure Gaetz and his rino 8 have another deal cooked up with their DEM cronies.

Scalise wants it, but some other Republicans don't want him. He can't get enough votes. I wouldn't define that as "nobody wants the job"

He's dropping out because he doesn't have the votes.

Not necessarily addressed to you but just jumping in the thread. What's next? I can't see the Scalise supporters voting for Jordan out of spite. What if a Massie jumped in there with no blood on his hands? Could he get anywhere close to 217?

They should strike a deal with Boebert: she becomes Speaker but must be nude at all times on the House floor.

And THIS is why Bob Livingston’s name came up the other night… just because he has the votes doesn’t mean he gets the job.

Bob got the job.

He was just the right man at the wrong time in history. Back when being in bed with a live girl was enough to get you whacked.

I don’t understand why they’d be against Jordan.

There’s nothing really controversial about him

Hakeem Jeffries wants the job, and I project that he'll get it, with 213 D votes and 5 R.

Yes, well, you project a lot of stupidity. We’ve come to expect it if you.

The Speaker you cannot have. It violates Republican Conference rules.

Why would they? It’s career suicide for any republican.

It would be better unify republicans. Why you want to unify people around the democrat agenda?

Why do people think that electing a new speaker is “shaking things up”. Nothing at all changes.
