Things calmed down when the police starte arresting people as soon as they started throwing things Looks like Soros funded anarchist thugs trying to stir things up.

Update. The police fired on the crowd with non-lethal weapons, and 25 anarchists were arrested.

For those who say that Portland is too liberal, I can think of a lot of places where the police would have let the rioters destroy...

Is that what we can call a "self-awareness" detachment?

Or as Comrade Lenin called them..."Useful Idiots"!

Or can we call them the Modern Day Brownshirts?! (Edited)

Paid protesters have to be the biggest hypocrites ever!

Isn't Portland mostly bums and Heroin addicts anyway?

Pretty much

I had to work in Portland every now and then when I lived in Seattle and there would be homeless hippie camps and tents set up shop right outside our building. We could see them fricking each other out in plain view from our desks. It was so common no one even cared anymore when it would happen.

"We're Fighting Fascism by acting like Brown Shirts" is what that meme should say. Or "Every Nacht is Kristallnacht."

Yeah, I mean sure its a nicer city than basically any city below the Mason-Dixon line.

I can't argue that, it's hard to compete when roughly 50% of all your big cities are basically Monrovia with Walmarts

You're acting like there is a difference...

Yes, lots of homeless and it's getting worse. It is commonplace to see the tents all over the place. My #1 complaint and a lot of people are sick of it. It's a lot worse than 5 or 10 years ago. Seattle has the same problem.

That said Portland is awesome.

That's probably a big demographic in these protests.

lol no.

Raleigh-Durham, Charleston, Nashville, Greenville, Atlanta, Savannah, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Charlottesville all blow Portland out of the water.

And I say that having been to all of the above, to include Portland.

Well I looked it up and compared it to where I live.

quote:

Portland, Oregon

The median income for a household in the city is $40,146, and the median income for a family is $50,271. Males have a reported median income of $35,279 versus $29,344 reported for females.

Youngsville, Louisiana

The median income for a household in the town was $67,147. Males had a median income of $41,700 versus $30,710 for females.

Nashville, New Orleans and Miami would be the three I'd definitely put above Portland.
