re: Let's Talk Propane and Propane Accessories - PDXDawg
That is how some of the best steak houses cook steaks It's all about the high heat and sear IMO My grill has a sear burner and then after getting the sear I move them to the top rack for a few minutes...

When grilling on high heat most of the smoke on charcoal is from the fat dripping on the coals. You can get similar results from a gas grill on the drip plates. Grilling is all about the temperature. The hotter the better to get the sear. Gas is just as good as charcoal at this. i used to think that...

re: Let's Talk Propane and Propane Accessories - PDXDawg
The Coleman doesn't have. Very large lid so if you're wanting to put anything on it that isn't standard grilling width then you can't close it to keep the heat in. The weber Q has a much taller lid but doesn't have the sear capability with lower btu. I've used both grills several times and I prefer ...

re: Kurt Cobain Documentary.... - PDXDawg
Everyone likes what they like, so there's no real point in arguing who is "better". I've just always found Nirvana's music more interesting. Foo has some good songs but most of them sound pretty much the same to me while Nirvana had more progression and creativity to their music over the course of t...

The best tv clip I've seen so far was that woman who was protesting and happen to see her son in a ski mask rioting and beat his arse in the middle of the street and sent him home with his tail between his legs. ...

If I had to venture a guess, no one has mentioned T stand because it's unforgivable to microwave a quesadilla and charge money for it. Admittedly, I haven't been to a T stand in years, so maybe they've up'd their game. But back in the day their quesadillas were microwaved. That's ridiculous. ...

re: UGA pulls a UC-Berkley - PDXDawg
that's the great thing about science beef, others in the scientific community will attempt to prove their peers wrong or continue to build upon other ideas, changing as new evidence emerges. "Faith" is not supposed to work like that. Both religion and science have been used as justification of immor...

re: UGA pulls a UC-Berkley - PDXDawg
Beef dawg , just so I'm clear, your assertion is that liberals gained an upper-hand through education and fact-based science, "winning arguments" as you say, over faith-based, less-pragmatic conservatives, and then took that political capital and "brainwashed" generations to come? Is it possible tha...

re: UGA pulls a UC-Berkley - PDXDawg
And many so-called conservatives are quite liberal when it suits them. The majority of people want the same basic things and likely can agree on a middle ground. The politicians use hot button issues to divide and conquer when those issues typically are of little significance to normal day to day li...

re: OT: This boards thoughts on Rand Paul - PDXDawg
But FTR I agree with what you're saying about both sides being beholden to the campaign cash, and that's wrong. And democrats can be hypocritical about that issue, that's true. The problem is as different as their rhetoric might be, behind closed doors there is a very thin line between dems and repu...
