Actually the booze you don't. Liquor is totally legal and you can carry a bottle of Jack Daniels openly around the Grove. The beer... haven't had a single fricking problem in years.
And having to have a lock and key is a blessing in disguise. Cops don't frick with anyone with beer unless it spills out of your cooler. It's no big deal putting it in an Solo Cup, and actually has become a nice unintentional symbol. But the blessing comes when you're at the game, high schoolers and shitty college students use the opportunity to raid unlocked coolers. So with that lock on it, it ensures that won't happen. It's a double edged sword.

Really? Didn't know that. The only reason I dislike them is because I had to move into their atmosphere. Sure they weren't trying to suck up to you knowing the rivalry between us. From a distance, I didn't think that there was that much animosity between the fanbases.

I went about 8 years ago and was kinda bewildered when people started explaining the rules to me. Never had that kind of governance even in Ruston.

Apparently, they didn't like the way Ole Miss fans behaved the first time they visited Kyle and they've proven themselves correct every time y'all have played since then. It was just weird how many of their fans went out of their way to welcome us then ended their welcome with bad mouthing Ole Miss. I wonder if that was discussed at the midnight yell thing the night before.

I do think both of our fanbases would think though when being invited to the midnight yell that we'd both go "Are you fricking crazy?! I'm going to be drunk at a bar." Both our fanbases like to drink a ton. I'd say 3 out of the top 5 drunkest I've ever gotten are at Ole Miss/LSU games.

I actually enjoyed the game with a friendly fan base but - have you ever been to College Station? We actually had to rent a house for our weekend trip bc they made Starkvegas look like legit Vegas... Bunch of Motel 6's and buffet restaurants.
