any willing seller should control the market...he who has the goods and the gold rules... now a buyer who provides the best benefit for the bargain wins... That has to hurt the shiftless ObamaClintonBots. Feckless, insolent ner'do well

Regardless of the facts of that specific case, there was a huge debate in this country about religious objection. Be it Hobbylobby, Chikfila, gay cakes, Trans bathrooms at Target,or gay wedding dresses.

The liberal consensus was that refusal of service based on someone's beliefs is bigotry.

This designer is openly refusing service based on Melania's beliefs. Spin this all you want, but it's no different.

Once again, this is exactly what this designer is doing. Refusing to do business with someone based on their beliefs. The two cases are the same.
I wasn't expressing an action in the post you quoted, twice. As for the other part, I never mentioned the beliefs of the baker or designer because that is not a defense to the law we are talking about.

sexuality is political now, asshat. You can thank your brothers in arms for this. In your quest to keep the government out of your bedroom, you've created one of the biggest political wedge issues of our time.

Gays in the military
DOMA Tranny bathrooms
Gender neutral pronouns
Safe spaces
Equal pay
Gov funded Abortion and birth control
All in the liberal political realm. All dealing with sexuality.

Equal Pay for Equal Work is...

One of the biggest non-issues ever.
It isn't true at all, and is easily proved as false.

IF a company could hire women for jobs for 77 cents on the dollar as compared to men...
Then they would never hire men.

The left should just agree to the right of refusal.

There are enough businesses out there that anyone can find anything without the need to force folks to serve them.

Vacherie Saint - know the Frostop in Thibodaux? Got denied service there last Tuesday. Finally had one of the workers who agreed to take my order. I placed the order and paid but threw burger and fries away as I was uncertain what had been done to the meal

The difference is whether the business is open to the public. If your not open to the public or the service requested is highly customized you are not subject to this
You'll have to educate me on this "highly customized" bit here because this designer isn't basing her refusal on difficulty or effort of the custom clothes but on political affiliation.

Yes, I know the owner. Why were you refused service?

Wait Melania didn't even ask this woman to design her clothes and she is offering a preemptive refusal? LOLOLOLOLOL. What a dumb fricking dummy. Oh wait let's see if I can do this ... I'm telling the Cubbies that I will not play outfield for them because of Chicago's violence towards young black men.

Damn that sucks man. I guess you shouldn't shop there anymore, and I would probably call the owner.

My bad. I thought we had a massive debate in this country about religious objection lead by liberals interested in equal rights. Restaurants and stores were boycotted and small businesses were shut down.

I guess that never happened.

Unsure? Walked in and girl at register looked at me and walked away. So I am still standing there and next girl comes to register and looks at me and walks away. Finally third girl came up with attitude asking what I wanted. Made me repeat order a few times. Think she was repeating order to me wrong just to tick me off. Took them awhile to put it together Lot-O-Burger, Fries and Root Beer. So girl tells me order is ready and then smiles and winks at black guy standing off to the side. Never gave me the drink, so took meal and walked out but threw bag away.

Major bummer I love that place

Just had to chime in to say that the mental gymnastics on display in this thread from our progressive friends has been highly entertaining to read.

"But, uh...it's different because it's customized service!"

"This isn't like the cake bakers at all because, uh...it's a political opinion!"

Let's go the judges for the intellectual honesty scoring:

Judge 1 - 0

Judge 2 - 0

Judge 3 - 1 (government-mandated pity point)

Are you flaming gay or something? I don't get it.

ahhh. I have suffered similar discrimination for being white unfortunately. Especially in Hawaii. Some of those mother frickers hate them some white people.
