But not 08 or '12. Yet a local judge is unfit for service for having an equal view of gay marriage.

Thanks and carry on with your sassy ways

Now Hail, this post is an example of the idiot Republicans we see on this board. And there are so many. His response had absolutely nothing to do with my post. He's mindless. He's like an anti-Obama Zombie. He "lives" to hate. He doesn't know why. He just knows he hates.

Now you may say this is an exception and not the rule. But it's not. It really isn't. This is the caliber of judges Republicans nominate. Men who don't know why they do things. Just do things because that's how they feel. They act out of hate and prejudice.

There was a time when I voted Republican. Back in the 80s when there were two branches of the party. The idiots like this guy and the moderates. But there are no longer moderates. So there is no longer me.

All this from a guy that just posted this in regards to death panels...

Sure wish that were the case. I could nominate a few posters for the axe. Get death panels on their asses.

Guess you didn't vote for Obama because he is a professed Christian. Bill Clinton was a Methodist. You only vote for atheists?

Its funny how real life issues like government spending, taxes, NSA overreach, seizure of property, etc are so low on most liberals priority lists.

Oh a twofer!

Yet another example of the typical Republican idiot. Nothing in his first paragraph had anything to do with my post.

Then he claims marriage equality is not a real life issue. I'm a gay man in a state where a republican nominated federal judge in New Orleans just became one of 2 out of 26 cases in the country which ruled against same sex marriage. And he says that's not a real life issue.

Hail, I see every day idiots on this board, republicans. You see them as well. Probably at least 60% or more. You wouldn't sit down for coffee with these bozos but you vote with them. Doesn't that make you question yourself? Makes me feel dirty just posting on the same board.

Oh and bamafan, thanks for letting me use your lack of intelligence to make a point.

You actually make a very coherent argument that I agree with wholeheartedly. The only problem is that you equate this type of behavior to only one political party. You very narrowly define the Republican party as a representative of the evangelical Christians and it emulates their inability to think in a rational manner.
The reality is both parties have a plethora of voters who act in this fashion (this board clearly demonstrates that observation). Those on the other end of the political spectrum just use a different form of "god" to worship (and obstensibly, to mindlessly follow).

Just my thoughts on the discussion.

You should thank Karl Rove for inventing gay marriage as a wedge issue. And you should thank Democrats for taking a stand after the fact, like two years ago (in the case of your heros Obama and Clinton)

What conviction.

Three in a row! And I haven't even read the first page yet!

OK Hail, here we have Yat27 who can't understand what being facetious is. In fact, he no doubt can't pronounce it. He sees me saying that I want the death panel's address so that I can nominate some posters for their list and he thinks I'm serious.

I'll adjust my number to 70% fools. Maybe it's just the South but it sure seems like it.

He absolutely correctly demonstrated why your stated problem with Republicans should also apply to Obama, but does not. And you're irate.

that is strange because most of the fundamentalist Christians that I personally know still vote democratic because thats who writes their welfare checks.

Everyone on here is a knuckledragger because he can't defend the president's (whom he supported) views on gay marriage.

Local judge anti gay marriage stance=moron hick

Right to work. That term is nearly as bad as the "Patriot" Act. Don't let unions bully workers, but using the state to stop them from forming and operating is the exact opposite of how a free market is meant to work.

Gay marriage. Get over yourselves, and let this issue rest.

Education. A stronger government hand is needed in some of these states. It's fine to say "just move" when the issue only affects adults. It's different when it affects children who don't know they're learning nonsense.

You're right, Vegas... I literally believe you want to kill the posters on this board that disagree with you.
And you have the nerve to insult my intelligence?

But seriously, here you are, complaining about conservative posters and how they're hateful and mean-spirited. Yet you're one of the angriest, most insulting posters on this board. And if I had a dollar for every time you claimed intellectually superiority over someone on PT...

You're a hypocrite, plain and simple.

Hey Vegas,

How does a judge's personal belief concerning the age of the earth impact your life?
