In a certain sense, there is free will. Suppose you put a long line of cocaine in front of a cocaine addict and tell him, "It's all yours." He technically has free will not to snort it. But you know he will.

Maybe the people who wrote the Bible had dyslexia. They meant to say we should worship Dog.

Your understanding of free will in this scenario is predicated upon a God that operates on the same chronological timeline that we do and has the same perception of time that we have.

God transcends time. God knows what will happen, not because we don't have free will, but because he exists in the past, present, and future.

This, of course, is metaphysical speculation. But not at all implausible for anyone who believes in an omnipotent and omnipresent God.

I have read other posts from you , you at the very least have voted for other Democrats.

You don't like Trump.

Abortion is the main platform of the Democrat Party.

If you condone abortion you aren't a Christian.

Please tell me a single good stance on the Democrat side. I honestly can't find a single good stance they aren't forced to pretend to adapt.

It's more what they claim to symbolize, such as compassion, empathy, charity.

Not so much their actions, but the thin veil that they hide behind.

So if I understand the logical progression:

Only Christians will be spared hellfire and damnation.

If you vote for a democrat you are not a Christian.

If you vote democrat you will be damned to eternal hellfire.

Nothing is impossible once you claim the metaphysical, but that does not in and of itself make a given claim plausible.

And you’re still left with the problem of a god who knew the failures and suffering of his creation prior to its existence and decided to proceed anyway. Carried to its logical end, we’re left with the inescapable conclusion that anyone who ends up in hell is there because of god. He created certain people knowing they would suffer eternally in hell, which is clearly a fate worse than never existing at all.

Now, such a god COULD exist. That doesn’t mean it’s a likely or desirable reality, and it’s certainly a reality which we have no evifence for.

Put on your critical thinking cap.

If you have read the bible. do you really think god supports abortion?

Abortion is the barbaric butchering of a fetus (the innocent).

There is no way in hell god supports that act.

Again,a REAL Christian would never vote for the party of abortion.

That's a fact.

Thinking cap

Abortion was common during the occupation by Rome. In fact, the majority of the identical tools used in the process are used today. Abortion is not referred to in the Bible. However, there are plenty of references that indicate otherwise. When Racheal with child met Mary with child ...Racheal's baby leapt with joy. The fetus has a soul.

I sat through a sermon by a pastor on the topic of Abortion.
Other than videos and pictures ...one outstanding belief vocalized by Pastor rings true to me.

One the day of Judgment. Those condemned will be marched forward while millions of aborted souls cry out for redemption. Guess what happens to those that supported Abortion openly?

So, a lie.

Last I checked, lying was bad - not good.

It sounds like you don't know Jesus, so I would start there with your missing the truth.

Absolutely not. Render to Cesar what is Cesars.

Religion is a deeply personal relationship between you and God.

I doubt God approves of killing newborns and 8 year old transgenders.

No sir. As I said before, as a life long Episcopalian, I am redeemed as a believer in Christ as my savior. Not sure where you would have gotten any other idea from what I have said here other than a discussion on free will.

so if this is true then God could stop children from being abused and raped and trafficed. once again i will say it if this is the god you believe in he is an a-hole.

I just squashed a spider on my front porch. God is sovereign over that. So of course he is sovereign over politics.

Nah, he is too busy creating pandemics and passing out childhood cancer to worry about politics.

In one sense I think God exists above and outside of politics. In another sense I think issues like abortion make him burn with anger and I would pity being someone who is contributing to such a practice in any way.
