This response would only be valid if Hannity was inviting me on his show. The redneck has the "right" to say whatever he wants, but it is pathetic that he is given a national platform to do so.

Liberals are never called on to apologize because their covered by the God of this age, political correctness.
Example: A liberal can bash Tea Party people as much as he/she wants, without fear of recrimination.
But, any celebrity who would've dared to call the rioters and looters in Ferguson, MO what they really are would be in big trouble.
To give a more concrete example, political correctness is why Paula Dean could be destroyed for admitting she said
the N word 20 years ago (against a man who had robbed her), but Jesse.Jackson was caught using racial slurs against Jews, at about the same time, and everybody still introduces him as a civil rights activist.
Then again, that's exactly what political correctness was created to do.

If the VP says something stupid, no big deal. It's just a little Biden gaffe!
If Phil Robertson says something, panties get in a wad.
One has influence in your everyday life, one does not.
Am I the only one that thinks the outrage is bass ackwards?

Says the guy that paints with the "republican = racist" brush every chance he gets.
That's rich.
Oh hey, another example.

I am both a Christian and conservative. It bothers me because he does a disservice to both causes with his idiocy.

No, you're not.
Jesse and Al have a platform to speak from, yet most Dems don't bitch about that.
Nancy Grace has a platform to speak from and she is an annoying bitch.
Radical feminists bitch as much as they can about nothing, and they have a platform to speak from.
A Christian man speaks and he is an idiot. I'm not a DD fan, but the man isn't ignorant. He is educated and has more money than most of us can ever dream of having. The fact that he is a conservative is what pisses people off so much. And no one has stopped bashing him long enough to say exactly what was wrong about his statement.

Funny how someone can use the word "redneck" in a clearly derogatory manner and not get called on it.
Just one more example of political correctness on display. Liberals never have to apologize because it's okay to denigrate politically incorrect people and groups.

Phil said that his comment was meant to convey the idea that ISIS members either need to have a change of heart and stop committing acts of violence and terrorism, or else there's really only one alternative. Fight them and kill them.

Same thing with the Catholic bashing.
But heaven forbid you bash a Muslim.

It all leads back to the SJW platform. They're a HUGE minority but they control a ton of the narrative through fear.
There is a HUGE scandal going on in gaming right now. Long story short, a game developer was sleeping with and friends with quite a few members of the gaming press. It all came to light and people started ripping gaming "journalists" for conflict of interest. The response? Journalists slamming gamers (their fricking target audience) by saying they're sexist, misogynists, etc. TOTALLY ignoring the actual issue at hand (transparency and impartiality).
It is the exact same thing with the country on a much larger scale. You can't call out bullshite or you'll be labeled.

Bingo. He accomplishes two things with his statements.
1) Pisses off those that disagree.
2) Pleases those that agree.
99% of people that don't fit into 1 or 2 will not give a flying frick what he says. Those that do fit into group 1 or 2 aren't changing their stance based on his views.
